Do people say "Oh my god, I wish I could mix just like tiesto, he's my hero"?
:conf: :nervous: |
Well, im sure new listeners to trance say that, because he is so famous nowdays. I really like Tiesto, I think he is a very talented musician, and I love his productions. Nowdays he has become so popular that n00bs to trance will call him God. I think there are other talented musicians out there, producing wise and DJin of course, but he has brought both of those together to create a big name for himself. I like Tiesto, in fact I love his music, im not ashamed to say it. I love PvDs work aswell. |

Eh? They're anything but. You've chose the most mediocre tracks I can remember by either of them. Crush is just bland pap and For An Angel is PVD's most over-rated work. Flat and soulless piano trance. Meanwhile, Flight 643 is atonal noise and Adagio For Strings is a straight-up rape of a brilliant classical piece.
For me it has to be Paul Van Dyk on a purely production level, because I couldn't give a about DJs. Seven Ways is one of the best trance albums I've ever heard, and he's had some blinding remixes out, not to mention his collabs with BT. Tiesto has had undoubted moments of class, but nowhere near as often as PVD, and his attempts to cross-over as a legitimate album act were failures. |

Production Wise.... Tiesto.
Aria - Willow (Tiesto Magikal Remake) ;) Nuff Said! :)
DJ Wise.....Hmmm
Id have to go with PvD on that one as he actually has an ounce of consistency. :) |

I'd pick Tiësto...
I saw him like 5 times live now, and everytime he seems so motivated and there's a special atmosphere.
Not that I dislike Pvd... but Tiësto definately has a better track selection than Pvd. I also like his productions more: I'll never forget Flight 643 and Suburban Train.
Pvd is a very overrated producer IMO |
