PAUL VAN DYK
STATE THEATRE, DETROIT, MI
TICKETS GO ON SALE SAT. 1/28/06 THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!
http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/...m_header_search
The State Theatre is a great venue for him too - it's an old theatre from the 1920's with carvings, etc. - BEAUTIFUL! It's where Tiesto was this spring as well as Oakie last time he was in town.

| +1, state theater is the best venue in detroit for a dj like pvd, i havent heard anything from him in well over a year, but I may come out for this... if he's on, he'll destroy the place. |

Armin and PVD in Detroit in March... wow... Who's doing the promoting for these shows?
Oh, and the ticketmaster link is teh broken... :( |

| oh I love this set-up...whoever the genius was that thought up the concept of big dj, big venue, i like ya. If you don't go to this, or at least try and go you are just down right silly and you know it. Unless something seriously drastic turns up, I will make sure that I am there. Tiesto at State was a blast, and I know pVd will not dissapoint. I will say the samething I said when tiesto was booked. It is extremely important that we all attend. The Detroit, Toronto, Windsor, Chicago crowd will be in attendance, there is no doubt. And that means, FUN TIMES! |

Yeah, Tiesto there was definitely a blast. Only downside was the crush on the floor when he took the decks.
And yes, Detroit is a long drive =p |

I got my tickets, and can't wait to go!!
I have never been to an event in detroit before, but from what I see of the venue from the website, the place looks amazing. I am looking for a hotel in the area of the theater. Any Suggestions? |

Well...the Ponchetrain...its not spelled like that, but it sounds like that...but thats more near Hart Plaza and Cobo...I'm from the burbs so I can't help out much...I know there are some nice ones a bit out of the city but as for downtown, eh? I usually just drive in and drive out ya know.

Got a good deal at this place, looks a bit on the sketch side, but hey, i just need somewhere to crash. Thanks for the suggestions. This will only be my second time to Detroit - so i wasn't familiar with the area.
Apparently this hotel is under a mile away from the event |
