Well I think it's time to finally do a review.
- Deep Groove was excellent however I felt there set was not a good opener.
- Johan played some great tracks and even though there was some problems early on he still killed it.
- It was hot...very hot and packed....I don't mind it being packed as I have come to accept that as part of the Guv. It should not be that hot in the club though
- Sasha...I agree there was a lot of really messed up people there. I am no angel by any means but when that one guy was being wheelchaired out of the club I pretty much thought it was time to leave.
Met some new faces which is always great...heck even met faces I met before but can't remember....and to be honest I don't remeber them already :D if you are reading this then you know who you are :D
Tyler, Cam, Max, Sasha always a pleasure to see yas on the dance floor.
Nada and Andrea I knew you were there but I never got a chance to see you work your magic on the floor - Ultra Spin 9 for sure though
Jamie nice to finally meet you.
Everyone else....I know there is a lot of you.....it was awesome....TAs make it a party....without you it would just be bouncing around with a bunch of sweaty people. |

Review time!
feeling super tired, so going to make it quick!
met LOTS of TA's - super cool peeps like: Playa24_7 (Dan?), tatgirl, DJ Amps (Barry), Lisa Loo, Sasha, Cribby... many others, but my memory fails me!
People are complaining about it being packed, but i thought it wasnt that bad, its certainly been worse - what i found bad, was the heat, sweating bullets in there.
I wasnt impressed by deep groove too much, and to be honest i wasnt blown away by gielen either, except for SALTWATER and SUMMER DREAM, and some others i suggest.
all in all a 5.5-6.00/10
left when gielen got off the decks

agreed. also Heidi thank you for being an uber-fan.. our plan had been to enter through the drink, but by the time Kel and I got there the drinks lineup was looong and we couldn't wait. I had happened to see you mention deepgroove was opening the guv so we just entered through the guv, and I'm positive that choice led to everything working out for the evening..  you rock!

now gallery was HOT. Carns & I headed in - music was KIILLLER. I literally knew every tune, but the only one I can pull from my hazy drunken memory is buy now - for sale.. we danced so hard we had to leave 45 minutes later..

oh yeah - and Marcel woods - advanced - brought me back to RANK 1!!!!!!
and my other complaint, my largest one, is that the music wasnt loud enough - did any one else notice this?
usually i NEED earplugs, but this time i could talk freely and no ear ringing afterwards - not cool - i like it LOUD. |

First time seeing Gielen and it was ing superb. I barely managed to get inside trough gallery cause my buddy was too wasted and we were denied entrance to Guv. Funny enough when presenting our tickets at gallery my buddy stumbled over the bouncer and almost took him down, and surpizingly the bouncer still let us in. I was pissed at first cause the doors to guv only opened at 3, but after reading the reviews i'm happy i avoided the overpacked crowd.
Music was awsome, i lost it when Saltwater came on, and SummerDream was wicked to hear in a club for the first time. ing really disappointed that Twisted wasn't dropped, as for the last half hour Adamo, DJ Philthy and me were screaming for the song every chance we got. i knew i should've made a sign requesting it :(
Was really impressed at seeing the TAs dancing on the stage, u guys have style...
Well that's about it for my review music was bomb and partying with the boys was amaizing... too bad i can't make it down for next week... ing exams :whip: |

Had a really busy day on Saturday. Woke up early after going to Deep Dish the night before and did not stop running around until about 7pm when I took a short nap and got ready for the Guv. Was still pretty tired. Met up with some friends. Night started off pretty good.
Got to the Guv and was inside pretty quickly. Deep Groove was okay but wasn’t feeling the energy. It was not loud enough at all. :whip:
Just missed the meet-up with Johan at 1ish which was too bad. Johan quietly came on and started his set. Waved to us on the stage which was cool. Started pumping some good tracks. I thought there were too many slowdowns - just killed my energy.
Met tons of TAs finally… Kelly (Happy B-Day!), Cribby, DJ Ampz (cool tattoo! And thanks for the mini glow sticks), cono_sur, Dan, tatgirl, Spitty, Jem and Sasha (you’re tall man – sorry we couldn’t drive you home) – I think there were more – sorry if I forgot.
Saw a bunch of TAs I recognized, but never had the chance to meet – like Lisa, Nada, Ghetto_fab, shanny… it’s real cool to see familiar faces and man you people can dance!!! :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:
The highlight of my night was hearing ADVANCED while dancing on the block… wooo hooooo. :eyes: :eyes: My energy level when from 3 to 10 out of 10 in like 2 seconds…. but then plummeted soon after. Was definitely not my usual non-stop dancing self… going to Deep Dish the night before in stilettos didn’t help – I was way too tired. :(
So we left just before 5, I think… would have loved to stay longer but the energy for me wasn’t high enough. The music wasn’t loud enough either and I LOVE IT LOUD!!!
Too bad cause I was so hyped for this night and didn’t exactly meet all the expectations... I’d see Johan again for sure and it was great meeting TOTAs.

Well, what a night it was. Left London at 1AM to arrive at guv at 3AM.....Walk up to the door, Johan is dropping PLAYGROUND.....right there I knew it was going to be one hell of a night.
Place was rammed, but I didn't expect anything other than that. Just found our spot and enjoyed ourselves. No one was going to ruin this night for me and my friends.
Goldfinger has some incredibly dirty beats from the get go, and blew away Johan's technical skills.
I'll keep it short, I hate long reviews, I will let the videos speak for themselves.
