I think that's more complicated, because you are burning tracks on a cd that has nothign in common, so all your cd's are a mess.
it's betetr to have a cd with tracks that have a similar style, and make a duplicate cd.
Here is an Example of How I will do it:

As You can See , I am into harmonic mixing, this way I knwo whats compatible with what, and I got almost all the tracks that are compatible in a few cd's, if you burn all cd's with different tracks, then your compatible tracks will be in ALL your cd case, this could be in 200 hundred cd's, it's better to have eveythign thats compatible in 15 cd's rather than 200.
Before start to burn and organize your cds, you should organize ALL OF YOUR TRACKS, by style, Keys (If You are into Harmonic Mixing), etc., once everything is sorted then you start burning.
I haven't do this yet, but I just recived my Cdj's a few days ago, and I haven't playw itht hem that much to be hoinest, I've taken these days to sort everything out, now I'm almost done, so I'm goign to start to organize my cd's.

| Pinokio how do you write all of that information on the CDs without it becoming a mess? Some of my friends use printout sheets with all the info for the CDs but I'd rather not have to rely on something like that. Any ideas? |

here is a link for a Microsoft Word file, I have made
CD Organizer (Fixed)
This Way I can use 1 sheet, and print the tracklist for 4 cd's. =)
I plan to save these files (By Style)
for example
I will have a Microsoft word file called
Progressive.doc inside this file I will find
Progressive 1 (A)
Progressive 1 (B)
Progressive 2 (A)
Progressive 2 (B)
...
Progressive 345 (A)
Progressive 345 (B)
This way if progressive Cd 247 gets ed up, I have it on file and can get the cd again. |

I don't write it on the Cd Itself, on the Cd I will just write Steady 1 (A), and then I have the printed sheet for Steady 1 (A)
That WOn't be a mess
if you get Case for cd's,
and you burn them like
Uplifting 1
Uplifting 2
Uplifting 3
Uplifting 350
You just browse though your uplifting case, if you have evrythign in opne case, then try to create segments for different styles, I think that way will be easy to get the cd's, and store them back right way in the correct place. |

some very good ideas there!
for those of you who organize their cds by artist, harmonics or whatever...i see a problem there because you always have to wait until you have bought a cd full with artists or harmonics of the same kind!
i think it's a problem if you bought 1 special track and want to bang it out tonight! :)
and to pinokio!
how do you find out the harmonics of your tracks...do you make it yourself or do you use programs?

Well for incoming songs, that could be aproblem, but if you already have a big collection, you can have a lot of harmonics of the same kind, if you only have like 30 tracks, then that would be a problem.
Right now I'm in the process of keying all my tracks
yes I would be happy to share my keyed tunes with you, although I may not say they are 100 % Accurately, because I am still learning.
I key them by myself, using a small software called Zonamix (It's kind of a Piano), you can get this on http://www.djprince.no
I also Use Mixmesiter to confirm, and search on[[ LINK REMOVED ]]
, to compare.
I don't trust softwares, they are not 100% acurately, but they are about 80% accurately I think, so I use this software and what other people think as a reference.
I'll give you the list I have Keyed so far, and will post it here soon.

and i have a CD named BREAKBEAT with 44 MP3s on it, with a duplicate... So i have 4 cds total, with 87 trax...hehe |
