Question: Why is it called Super Bowl? In another words, why is it Super? :conf:

Still it's the #1 seed playing a 6th seed and they're the underdogs. Schedule is what it is, they could only play what was given to them and they took care of business. I'm still rooting for the Steelers cuz as I've said before, I'm a Rams fan and the Hawks aren't buddies.

I just get a hunch that the Seahawks are being overlooked. I think it'll be a really good game, I like the matchup.

Where is Bettis' hometown again, I haven't heard it in the last 2 minutes?

They played 4 teams with winning records in the regular season. (Not counting Indy b/c Indy didn't play starters).

They were:
Jax, Skins, Giants and Dallas.

Of those games they went 2-2, should have lost to the Giants but won b/c of Feely missing 3 fg's in a row, and they barely beat Dallas 13-10.

I wouldn't call that taking care of business.

I'm not saying they aren't a very solid team, I'm just saying this is why the odds favor the Steelers.

i bitchslap all you picking the Steelers.

seriously though, the Seahawks have gotten no respect from anyone, especially that one gay ESPN.com editor. Steelers, a #6 seed. How in the did they end up in the superbowl anyways? What happened to the Colts?

Anyways...the Hawks have a complete team. And you will see, after they win the superbowl, people will again be coming up with excuses, ah the Steelers were hurt, injured, tired (they didnt have two weeks off;)) and other bs... We've heard it all before.

All i gotta say is that i'm getting ready to watch the Superbowl, and heading out to REI to buy that rain parka to prepare for the big parade that will take place in rain Downtown Seattle the following Tuesday.

PS. Alexander will rush for another 100+ yards, and score 2+ TD's against the steelers. And bettis is old, but he will retire losing the superbowl.

but yeah im not picking or betting whos gonna win till a couple days be4 the game because theres always some moron it seems who does somethin really ed up be4 the game and ruins their team AKA Eugene Robinson from the falcons, and that one dude be4 super bowl 23 for the Bengals, and that Olineman for the Raiders a few years ago.Given this years SuperBowl is in the worst big city in the States, well...

this game can go either way IMO, it depends really which QB handles the pressure the best,Ben has been great lately, can he keep it up?Will Matt choke?not saying he's Peyton like, but he hasnt proved much be4 too, well neither did Doug Williams and u saw that quarter he put up..
Doubt the game will go over the total of 47
I see Seattle winning this if Ben has a horrible game and Hassleback and Alexander control the possesion

Just a wonder, if I went on one of the soccer errr futbol posts and said that I was looking forward to the Man U v Liverpool "game" would I get called out on it? I'm curious. ;) It's cool though there's two Swedes partying for the Super Bowl. Shouldn't you be out practicing ice hockey?

Pitch vs field
keeper vs goalie
pace vs speed

I like those little difference between cultures!

Hard for me to trust a bald starting QB.... so I would typically give the nod to Big Ben. He just makes smart decisions. Running game edge has to go the Hawks. Tatupa vs. Polamalu.

Barely beat dallas? An outstanding Defensive play got that win. Barely lost to the redskins in OT, due to hitting the upright on a field goal. The Jags game was the first game of the season if i recall correctly. Working out bugs perhaps?

Should have lost to the giants? What about the NFL stating that two of the giants TD's were improperly called. Hmmmmmmmmm, those field goals would not have made any difference.

"I wouldn't call that taking care of business."

What about having the league high of 50 sacks?

What about sending 7 players to the probowl. Including a rookie.

What about the seahawks having the best (second best? It's one of the two) redzone defense in the NFL.

"During the regular season, they allowed only 3.6 yards per rush, a mere five rushing TDs, only six runs longer than 20 yards, and a single 100-yard rusher (Tiki Barber of the Giants, who did that to a lot of defenses)."

You don't hear about any standout receivers and huge playmakers from the seahawks, making you think they don't have that explosive of an offense. That's because when most QB's will throw to one guy the most "Cough/ Steve Smith /cough" Matt is busy throwing to 9 guys in one playoff game. INCLUDING the backup QB!
