Jon O'Bir - BBC Radio 1/Conspiracy Recordings/Godskitchen UK/Jonobir.com

It all started back in September 2002, when he entered along with 300 other hopeful djs, the PaSSion and M8 magazine competition and won. He was then offered the chance to play for Motion in Derby and also to show off his talents on the Internet radio station, bpm. With his style of progressive/uplifting trance and expertly blended mixes, he was soon noticed by Godskitchen, who were looking for a new young DJ to offer a residency and the prospect of fledging career as Britain's next DJ sensation.

Jon is one of the leading djs at the moment that is carving the new face of the trance genre. 2004 had been an immense success for Jon, continuing to impress the Gods faithful with the residency at Godskitchen, and developing an army of new followers at every club he plays. Domestically he has played at every major club you could care to mention, whilst this year has proved his first (and well received) opportunity into pushing his sound on the international scene. Touching down at destinations in Cyprus, Hong Kong, Canada, Greece to name but a few. Jon will soon have the opportunity to bring in the New Year; playing the midnight set in New York before Trance maestro Paul Van Dyk.

2005 has seen Jon rise from strength to strength, It started with Jon appearing on the world famous Essential Mix in January and then being offered a place on Radio 1’s new show The Residency, joining the likes of Eddie Halliwell and Nic Fancuilli in the world famous Radio 1 studios. This gave him a great lift and extended his name to new fans across the globe and also led to him playing at the massive club Space, in Ibiza.

Jon’s love for Trance music made him create his own record label ‘Conspiracy Recordings’ alongside up & coming U.K producer Rob Stevenson a.k.a Activa. The 1st release will be out late 2005 and he will also be releasing his 1st solo production ‘Effectual’ on the Conspiracy Recordings label. It’s been a massive year for Jon, more of the same expected for years to come.

Great on getting Jon O'Bir. Approximate expected set times for Jon ? I'm hearing a rumor that the main dj may be starting earlier at Heaven and haveing a resident close unless the the main dj is still banging away. That would allow for some nice picture opportunites with the main dj after the his set and chat with some of the fans as opposed to being rushed out of the club at 4AM.

~12AM to ~ 3AM ??

Have a great show. I might surprise ya'll out there.

Thank for the info. Maybe the proposed changes will take place after that. Check with Mr. Heaven. The idea was that a resident would open and possibly close. The point being that main dj would would get the maximum exposure to play to the largest crowd possible, with no disrespect to the residents, but a good resident knows his duties. Actually closing opens up great opportunities for a resident so that he or she is just not opening. As an example, look at what Edgar V does back in Miami, sometimes opening and closing all in one night and those closings are strong.
Good luck with the show.
