Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter
Canberra, Australia (AHN) – Students in one Australian state are being prohibited from wearing denim because it may cause a good time.
A spokesman for Western Australian state Education Minister Ljiljanna Ravlich says denim is associated with weekend wear and recreational time.
He adds the fabric is unacceptable at schools where they are trying to raise standards.
Demin will be banned in Western Australia's secondary schools starting in 2007. |
it may seem as another step in total government control, but I find it more humorous. back in my high school days, there were girls that you could see right through her pants to her thong, you could even tell the color.
silly silly silly
hopefully, they can build a time machine now |

Western Australia is typically seen as a backwards country by Eastern Australians (And generally, the rest of the world minus bush apologists). To illustrate this point, recently there was a vote on whether or not stores should be allowed to stay open past a certain time (don't remember the exact time, but most places close at 17.00). There was also a vote on letting stores open on Sundays. Both were soundly rejected, I believe with an 80%+ vote.
So really, this comes as no surprise. |

| You have to appreciate the grave threat which these kind of fabrics pose to the moral fiber of the Australian youth. |
