So im thinking of maybe trying to learn Japanese...i have some free time now and im pretty good with languages. I know ill prolly wont be able to learn how to read or write...talking seems kinda reasonable, tough I have this anime channel on the cabels and their Japanese mumbling seems so weird, its like they are always shouting no matter what there are trying to say LOL…

Im dieing to understand it…so one day I could go to Japan and they'll all start talking English with me and all of a sudden ill be like: "Konijiwa tababito san" or what ever…

Does anyone here actually knows that language? I wanna know how hard it is in terms of grammer and vocabulary…and also some basic words in Japanese would be cool.

Cheers

This is unconventional, though. The commonly used 4 is ‚ć‚ń, Žl or yon. Whichever way you like to write it. ;)

HAHA. You're not the first to say that.

Japanese ftw.

Watching anime in Japanese with subtitles is great. The language sounds so beautiful.

But there's Kanji, and Kanja and other types of alphabet, and I read somewhere it takes an average of 5 years to even grasp the basics...

I was always taught shi for counting, but yon for speech as shi can sound too much like death.

I've been taught to avoid shi, altogether. It's much easier to count with shi, though. Mm.

Took me about 5 months to grasp the basics. And this was studying about 2 hours every other day.

By the way... Kanja? :wtf: There's Hiragana, Katakana, Romaji and Kanji.
