Having said that, does anyone need a DJM-500? PM me.

Would love to own a Xone92 and toss away my DJM-600! The DJM-800 sure looks nice though, maybe it's time to stop by Guitar Center. :)

/me jealous

That will give me some time to save up enough $$$ then.

When I get my DJM800 at the end of the month, I will let you all know how it sounds. If you can hook everything up digitally, the Xone mixers won't be able to get the quality that the Pioneer will offer on sound quality. If you don't hook up digitally, then maybe the Xone's would sound better. The DJM-800 converts all signals to digital and then does the whole effects stage in the digital domain. And with the new filter effects on the DJM-800, it might just smoke the Heath!

Also, unless Empire did something big in the last month, the system at ICE was like a 1000 times better.

Did Empire put a Funktion one in???

Ya they did, for Morillo last week.

As for the digital sounding good...yeah maybe, but the best thing about the Allen & Heath is that its analog...the sound is warm...not really something you can describe :p

Its not like theres a right or wrong, both a great mixers. IMO the Xone 92 levels with the DJM-1000 rather than the 800. 800 is over-priced IMO.

I was at ICE for PvD in December and really thought their system lacked the BASS of a serious club system. It just didn't beat my heart for me like the sound of the Roxy and Crobar NYC systems (Phazon?).

The rest of the frequencies though @ ICE were very clean and crisp. I expecially enjoyed the surround coverage from the middle of the dance floor (although it was lacking bass). On the other hand, I thought Space in Miami had ONLY bass and it sounded like total .

Empire sounded like ass before, but like cletus said, Morillo was the first night with it, sounded really good, very loud.

Space Miami is now rocking the djm 1000 with rotary knobs.

That's sweet, that place has got to be like one of the best things ever now. The only thing it was lacking for me, was a really good sound system. Adam who does the sound over there was saying he had an extra Funktion One about a month ago, that must have been where it went.

If I went back there, I might never leave.. lol
