i didn't want a RAZR or a Valentines Day present until i saw this...

my next big purchase was gonna be a new Coach purse, but i think i have to buy this instead. i don't even know why but it's just soooo damn sexy to me.

it's been out for a while now. same POS wrapped in a different casing to make it stink less and appear to be more attractive.
I'm on my 3rd RAZR and can't wait until my contract is up to get rid of it. It's the worst phone evar. Don't get it. |

1. Slow interface. Sometimes menus take 3-5 seconds to come up. Hazardous while driving.
2. Intermittent flickering of the screen or screen black-outs
3. AM noise (audible up and down whining noise - like the sort you hear in the old radios)
4. Excessive dropped calls in metropolitan areas. I could be next to a person who's on the same provider (cingular) and they are fine - this phone drops the calls.
5. Awful user interface - takes a lot of customization to make user friendly. Nothing comes close to Nokias in that sense.
6. No games - they give you bejeweled demo and expect you to shell out extra bucks for games
7. Awful ringtones - again, unless you make your own and load it through (buggy) Motorola Mobile Software - you're SOL
8. Horrible built in camera. Granted -most phone cameras suck, this one is especially sucky.
9. If you have a SIM card with phone numbers and you copy them to your phone, you'll have doulbes. there's no way to hide sim/phone entries without either deleting them from SIM or from Phone.

Ok, rested, here's more:
10. Guys who don't shave for few days will understand where RAZR comes from. I know gurls won't be subject to this but guys - facial hair gets caught by metal buttons and it feels like you're shaving with ultra-dull razor. Think a rusty old bic that you just shaved pavement with.
11. Smudge factor - you have to constantly wipe your screen and buttons as they become smudged.
12. Talk time is mediocre, at best. Even worse when bluetooth in use.
13. Bluetooth headsets sound like you're either in an echo chaimber or metalic sounding booth (think of really grainy digital voice)
14. Really akward position for charge adapter (on the side). If you're charging and talking on the phone you have charging cable sticking out between your fingers.
bottom line: It's a brick, and has no redeeming value aside from being a fashion accessory. |

edit: dont waste your time on a razr the pebl from t-mobile and the new L7 or V7 from Motorola on cingular are bother better motorola phones...razors suck the big one and Ive had 2 one I threw into a river when I was drunk and another that i dropped and split in 2 |
