some of europe's dj events are held in soccer stadiums.
now what would it take for an event to be held in the skydome????
i think acoustically it might be difficult but it can be done right?
has anything happened like this?
will it ever?
should it happen?
discuss.. |

| Yeah, not gonna happen anytime soon. Montreal has massives at Olympic Stadium (similar size to Skydome) but different province, different laws, different circumstances. |

| the only thing I can see coming even close to being held there would be a Tiesto in concert type event. But even then I don't think there are enough fans in Toronto to pack the place. Also, there are city laws plus the fact that it's ROGERS Centre that would prevent any rave type event from happening there. |

it all boils down to politics
and the ontario government doesnt work with the scene, they work against the scene
a party of that size wont happen until the politics between the city's promoters/hosts diminish. |

Z103 would end up running it even if it did happen.
It's an awesome idea though. |

wont happen.... we have laws stricter than singapore when it comes to having a good time.
Not to mention that they cant even pack sydome for mainstream concerts anymore. Remember when skydome concerts were the norm? When was the last time that happened?
people dont go out in toronto nearly as much as in the past and when they do its to lower key events such as a quiet dinner or a pub. Clubbing is in serious decline thanks in no small part to government interference, crappy music selection and ever increasing lethargy and attitude at toronto clubs. |

it's actually perfectly legal to hold a dance event there and as long as it ends by 3am it's not considered an afterhours party..
now who the promoter would be and how much cash they'd need to shell out is the question ..
not to mention would enuff ppl attend to make it worthwhile?
