the only issue i noted in school was when hanging out with friends with frat affiliations.
if you have friends before the fraternity, they likely will not hang out with you later.
i was never in a fraternity and understand the solidarity, but when decent people cannot handle the 'regulars' and have better things to do - reevaluate your friends.
i have no issue with these people to this day, their organization is theirs, yet if you are not a part of that. you lose.
it seems that if you want to focus on your campus, similar individuals, and all things generally local - go for it. i went out of state, and while i didnt join, the experiences and friends ive made are worth more| |
