Putin is nothing else than a dictator in disguise.
He strikes me as being arrogant and a bit greedy.
Once saw this piece on 60 minutes, where it became clear that Putin has put people in prison, simply because they didn't agree with him. This is something that I also have read in the newspapers.
So, nothing that Putin does, surprises me, because he himself is a threath against democracy. |

Not only because he didn't agree with him but in some cases because the people were too rich and gaining too much power.
Remmember Gary Kasparov (sp?) the greatest chess player of all time? He's in politics now, opposing Putin's tyranny and plans to run in 2008, Putin said that he's "thinking" about changing the constitution to run a 3rd term. If it looks like he'll be losing, Kasparov is dead... |

Putin really tries hard now, doesn't he?
Didn't he sell missles (I'm guessing that they are capable of holding nuclear warheads) to Iran a couple of months ago? |

oh, so Kasparov is running against Putin?
Well, that will certainly be interesting to witness.
I just hope that someone have the guts to get rid of Putin. He isn't even charismatic at all, lite Jeltsin was. (Won't ever forget the pictures of Clinton and Jeltsin laughing their asses of on TV)
I hope Kasparov wins the election, just because Putin is a d*ck, and probably a part of the Russian mob. btw: The Mob is Russias biggest problem, because they literally is controlling Russia. |

Yeah, Iran brings in billions of revenue. Not only that, there are russian army officers who sell weapons to Chechnyans. |
