The night started off with chicken schwarma at Doner King on Yonge St. (oh, I am SO addicted to it!!) - wish they had airmail. Drank some vino at Ms. Penny's and headed over to the Docks around 11pm with the Cuzo. I had no problemos (thank you for the pass, Caroline - you are GOLD!) and we walked right in.

Got in and was like, holy RAVE BATMAN! I haven't seen so many little kids since a warehouse party a few years back. And there were so many of them - I was like, fack! The main floor was a sea of glowsticks, candy suckers, pacifiers, phat pants, and fuzzy backpacks. But I love the kandy kids - until they turn into zombies staring from the couches or they pass out on the floor. :) They are by far the most creative and exuberant group of clubbers - I like their addition to the EDM culture (especially since they still try to emulate PLUR as much as they can).

At any rate, made it up the TA room to catch Chris Allen's set - nice one, yo. It was great to meet you in person (finally!) as well. And then Kevin's set - BANGIN'! Thank you for that lovely set, sir - and what track is the one with the intro from "Bette Davis Eye's"? I heard that a few times this weekend and just love it. After that, headed down for Mark EG - WOW! I haven't heard a hard techno set like that since Hawtin last summer at Festival. Thank you - I needed to dance the out of life like I did during your set. I caught some video of this man's exuberance - don't ask me for a track ID - fack if I know! Went back upstairs for a bit more and then listened to some JOOF. I heard him back at the Necto like 3 years earlier - wasn't quite as good now as then.

Went outside for a smoke on the patio and found a humanoid resembling Ray. "Huh, huh, what? You frontin'? What are you lookin' at? What? What?" lmfao You were a hoot and a half this night - fackin' toony Ray. I had a great time out with the TAs as always - met some new ones (Plump Funk, etc.) and had a blast as usual. By the end of the night, my calves were seizing so I re-thought the whole CoZo idea and just went to Nat's to chill. Thank you for having me over - your fiance is a fackin' nut - but in a good way. We bought him more beer to replace what we drank (I get the feeling it's gone already again though, lol).

I got home fine - my friends who left me, even after calling them 4-6 times during that morning, are still MIA but meh - a friend was still in town and she came and got me. Luckily, she called me right as she was about to get on the freeway to go home to make sure I had a ride. I def owe her a better trip to TO - St. Patty's Day weekend?

Thank you again for another great weekend in TO - I am going to try to make my trips for weekends rather than a day and night in the future - so much less rush this way! The TOTAs fackin' RULE!

MUAH!

Kris

I will say I have not been pissed off like that since LoL trying to get the drunkards directions to Nat's BBQ (while I was drunk myself).

It was not Michelle, btw - she had a full car of her own to take home so I rode with other friends. My little clubbing goddess had her own fun Sunday morning - I swear, that girl has more adventures than me or Robinson Crusoe! :)

Ok 2 days later.... full review time.

Got there waaayyyyy too early. The Jungle stuff (no offense to anyone) was really not my thing, and it seemed to me the candy kids were on a mission to make life as hard as possible for everyone that was dressed politically correct. Sadly enough, I turn 19 in a month so I couldn't make it to the TranceAddict room, although I saw lots of you coming in. Good to see everyone (also good meeting some of you:)).

Tried not to kill my energy too much before J00f but found it very hard because of Mark EG. Great, great performer but I found that his set really didn't do it for me in terms of creativity. The crowd loved it, he was having a blast, all the people behind him were laughing.... no complaints :).

On came J00f and to be honest, for a man with such a big name I was very disappointed. I didn't hear anything particularly special about his set although he did have some nice filler tracks that would have been great if the set had gone into some awesome psy/epic trance. I would have much rather have seen CL, or Astral Projection, or Yahel if it were to be the same style. Seemed like alot of you were loving it up in the front though, glad someone was feelin' it:p.

After 3, went up to the TA room, saw some of you then basically just passed out. So tired from no sleep the night before and just from being in the middle of all the crackheads in the main room that my body just shut down for a bit. Sorry if I seemed rude to any of you, just wasn't really with it and quite sober too:eek:.

Now for the main event, ADAM F*CKING SHERIDAN. Man oh man, from what I heard in his set, awesomeness extremus:disbelief. Most of you had left by the time he had come on but for the ones that remained.... Yes sir, he was by far the floor killer!! Interesting story; before J00f had started spinning, I went to the side of the stage and called him. He runs over, shakes my hand and starts talking to me. Super, super nice guy!! I wish he comes back because unfortunately, I didn't hear all of his set (a good length of it).

Anywho, 'till we meet again:cool:

OK, so my review...

Mark EG, thanks for signing my butt...offers me that small token of my 'raver' days and the music that went along with it. I only wish your set could have lasted longer. I was dancing like a machine. It was just fackin sick.... IMO. I seriously was going crazy. But I can understand how some people would believe it was not their cup of tea... But truly and honestly I had a great time and looking forward to many more sets in the future...

John 00 Fleming was very impressive. Hard trancy beats kept my feet going through til almost 5am...when did Adam Sheridan come on? Well, he was not what I wanted to hear after J00F. Just didn't flow right after the last set and I wanted more of the great beats J00F was putting out. Adam S did well, just wasn't what I liked at the time.

I had a great time with all of you. Great venue as usual. Kudos to the Destiny and Temproal Rhythm crew for another great event.

around 4:45 is when he ended it. I literally did not stop dancing to his set. it was THAT good. I wanted to stay for Sheridan because from the looks of it his was pretty ace. dirty progish type of stuff...just my kind of thing but a friend of mine was tired so we had to leave...:(

oh well probably for the best. got home at 7AM anyway..:p
