In late 90s, Toronto mayor called in the army to help with snow removal after a snow storm.
Natural disaster relief ops aren't uncommon as part of Canadian Forces taskings. IIRC just last yr the military was called in to help with ice storm in East Coast and that gigantic firestorm in BC. (though calling in the army for snow is a bit silly) |

u do realize that you have to tell me this joke now cuz i just cant imagine a local state government or in canadian case provincial government asking the army " hey come help us with this 2 feet of snow please "
i mean the army would literally laugh at them as i am lolz |

toronto thinks a "major snowstorm" is 10 cm. And then everyone drives accordingly and it takes 3 hours to get home

ahhh i see ... that must be one heck of a snow storm. i remember hearing about a ice storm back in the days that struck Montreal and other eastern parts of Canada and stuff for which the yanks sent some help also. But yea 2 feet of snow and army is like us folks in Miami asking for the Army when a Cat. 1 comes by during hurricane season hhehehehehe |

the storm was around a foot and a half.
A lot, but no need for the army |
