| Hello there Absurd, even though breaks are not my thing, I was very impressed with this set all the way through. Mixing was very good and the tracks were absolutely 100% enjoyable - lovely progessive flavour and incredible sounds. For me, it's a special set. This one goes in the "special pouch" cos it's different and I know there aren't many people who would've heard stuff like this. As mentioned before, I don't have many breaks tunes but I'll bet my bottom dollar that it will take a super set to beat this one. Thanks & cheers. Flynno |

I'll check this out when I get home from class. Looking forward to this! Oh yeah, Coded Audio is usually the only one in a thread bashing somone's mix. It's the same recurring theme--Everyone likes a mix, yet he decides to not.

Coded Audio is about the biggest douchebag in this forum. Seriously Art, his opinions are bull and his ego is far bigger than what his mixes turn out to be. Not only that he criticises people for mixing beat induced songs, while he on the other hand mixes ambient by sliding from one side of a crossfader to the other. Go somewhere else Coded Audio--as you can see, people in this forum don't welcome your ignorance and bull in this forum.

I know you feel like you've come to save the day, but I think many people do value coded's opinion and know that his knowledge of EDM is vast.
Also, he never critisized the technical elements of the mix, only the tracks/track selection. An are which he is adept at, even if his technical skills are poor in your opinion. Anyone will tell you coded picks good tracks.
I suggest you rethink your point of view. |

Touch touchy . All I did was give some honest feedback about the music. Never said a thing about the mixing did I ? Why only post positive feedback ? I want to hear all the negative feedback I can so I can improve. So I don't beat mix the chillout mixes ? Does not mean they aren't programmed in some way though does it and for the record they are impossible to beat mix. I do however have some mixes which are beat mixed if you check my signature so maybe you can check them and then criticise my beat mixing abilities.
For me sites like this are all about the music and not about ego's . I am the first to heap praise on someone if I like what they have put together.
Please before you publically assault me in this forum Steven get some understanding and appreciation of why I say the things that I do.

i really dont care if the feedback is positive or negative, ill gladly listen to any criticism you might have, but not in the form you presented it starting with your first reply in this thread.
You have to agree the tracks in the mix are good, they are old, but good... and I dont deny that this mix is made of old overplayed tracks. I didnt have equipment for over 2 years, didnt mix anything...and this is my first mix after my long break. I mixed the tracks that I listened to pretty much everyday for many many months, even before I bought my new setup...and was dreaming about mixing them together. Now, I can finally do it... So thats what I did. I wasnt planning on having a mix with brand new fresh unreleased promos, I was just mixing the tracks I liked when they first came out and I just had the urge to mix them till the day I recorded this mix.
If you came here to talk smack, you are not welcome there. On the other hand: if you came here to be nice and provide me with some constructive criticism (negative or positive) you are more then welcome to to do so as much as you wish.
No need to start fights and no need to be negative and talk trash to everybody. We have enough of that here... |

so...the guy registered to the forums barely half a year ago... put a few links to his mixes in the sig... and now he thinks hes godlike? |

I love progressive in general, im not into breaks only. I dont care if the producers move on from breaks to something different, Im open for that... But there are alot less good tracks out there then, for example, 2-3 years ago. That...or I just became more picky. |
