yea i got the email from made when i came online before
i think its a lil tooo early to start promoting it
but last years did sell out and there were alot of people stranded outside so i dunno
ill probly get my tickets soon before they run out |

Sheesh, It keeps getting more expensive every time. If you're more than 50% sure that you're going get them early, they will go up to 40, 50, 60 dollars before you know it. Geez, Armin was $30 till day of.

I, too, dislike the high prices. If you want to bring someone along, or introduce others to the scene, the price completely turns them off. (Bradley Rose / RetoxNYC / Flawless are great for this purpose.)
On the other hand, made-event does sell the tickets a lot cheaper when they first go on sale. It's a common way of capturing consumer surplus. Sell the first couple 5-10% of tickets for less to gauge demand. If the pace is good then raise the price. Keep raising the price till the pace of sales is just right to fill capacity (100 tickets a day, with 30 days to go). Websites like ticketweb and ticketmaster are great at analyzing sales patterns to predict ideal selling price.

Hope it doesn't rain like it did two years ago - totally ruined experience. But even then, I think the most expensive ticket was $50 at the door. Expect your full ticket price (if not sold out) to be $60-$70.
Here's a hint:
IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR FAVORITE DJ TO CHARGE YOU TOP DOLLAR TO SEE HIM SPIN RECORDS, DON'T VOTE FOR HIM WHEN DJ POLLS COME AROUND.
Armin tickets for $30? Want to keep it that way? Then vote Ferry Corsten as #1 DJ.

| I agree with the price thing!! That is in CRAZY, that is takin advantage of the fan and literally RAPIN us for every last cent we have. BULL ....no offense to made (as I do visit there board) but they are really just being s for this...it should be $25 now, I know it's only $5 but like everyone said by the end I bet you it will be $70 at the door and the ironic part is that I think the people standing outside of the gates listening to the same music we paid WAY TO MUCH for had a better time then we did. I say go them and stand outside for FREE!!! |

That actually sounds like a good idea. Catch a bite to eat. Come back to CP and play some touch football or throw a frisbee around while listening to his set no more then 100ft away. :) |

Does every PvD announce thread have to turn into a bitch session about price? I think we've all heard the same complaints (frequently by the same people). I mean, that's just how it's going to be.
Complain to PvD's people, not the people who want to enjoy the show at the price they're charging. |
