just cause you think its a good game doesn't mean it should in the top 10. most of those games listed, especially in the top 20, changed the way their respective genre's are played or designed. Xenogears was just a well executed game, but far from deserving such an accolade.
that list seems fairly reasonable...i'd switch a few things around but otherwise i'd agree with them. |

tetris got number 1 in EGM's first Top 100 Games of All-Time list. I wouldn't disagree with it, but Super Mario Bros 1 WAS a revolutinary game when it first came out, and set the standard for side-scrollers to this day. |

| As much as I love Super Mario Brothers, I feel that Tetris should have taken the top spot, again. I still own the EGM where they deemed Tetris the best game. |

the list doesn't include none of the masterpieces like Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake, Dune 2, Warcraft 2, UFO: Enemy Unknown, Command & Conquer, Full Throttle, Civilization, Master of Orion.
all these games were waaaay ahead of time and groundbreaking,
but it did include some bull like Pro Football 2002 or NHL 2001 or Grand Theft Auto 3:whip: :whip: :whip: |

While I know some of those games come out on consoles as well, they were simply PC ports and actually performed WORSE on the console. |

i remember when i first laid my eyes on that game, after playing years of atari games, i got to see mario for the first time at my father's friend's place, to this moment i remember everything even the layout of the room that i was in, the tv's make, what i was wearing, what my friend was wearing, where we drove from before hitting my dad's friend and where were we going afterthat. i remember when thay turnd it on the graphics were unlike anything i've ever seen they were full of color it was truly unbelivable at the time. |
