Well, it's a totally different rhythm, isn't it?

Not really. It's still mostly 4/4 even if the beat isn't.

Then show us how Americans dance...

Also your basing your judgment on videos, but the music can be added later on. Movements and music are not the same then, hence the not so rhythmic movements ;) And on what type of music do these anti-rhythmic people dance to?

I hate how we dance at American clubs (different from a rave).

Mostly you just booty dance, and ppl rarely dance w/o a partner.

I prefer the European free for all sytle better.:p
washout
when i was over in europe i noticed they dance different.
i wouldnt say better or worst.
americans, especially white people, are stereotyped as bad dancers.
anyone hear that brad paisley song, alcohol.
dont know if any people here listen to country so i doubt it.
anyway back to the topic.
when im out i notice people look silly dancing and waht not.
but i dont think much of it.
as long as they are having a good time than im happy for them.
and when im happy i drink more.
and the more i drink the happier i get.
and when im real happy i like to have sex with titties.

People dance differently depending on race/ethnicity/loaction, etc....

For example, a certain group of peeps in Southern California are notorious for the washing machine dance...although I doubt it's only in SoCal, just know I haven't really seen it in Norther California. :p

Anyhow, dancing to trance is an entirely different form altogether. It's about expressing the emotion the music brings out in you...not about style. That's for hip hop...and even generic house. That's more about the style. Dancing to trance is pure to me no matter how rediculous it looks...except for the washing machine bullcrap some cracked out people do.
DJ Cinos
I just twitch to the music.

lol post a vid or something with that "dance" it sounds like fun :P
i am waiting for a post about the melbourne shuffle and how much uber/better/whatever it is.

if you care how others dance in a club, you lose , as long as they dont stand like morons, watching if other people see them and watching other people to comment, they are ok with me.

and jumping + breaks? thats the best thing to do :)

Like seriously, I am not starting this thread to bash people or a country. I am just trying to study the various dance forms all over the world. There seems to be no flow or rhythm. I show my friends these vids and they laugh because the dancing is silly. And it is. Its sure not a sexy form of dancing. I dunno, I guess this is maybe why I am getting more into the housey stuff. Cause the dancers seem to be better at house events. To me, it looks like there are a bunch of people throwing there hands and legs in different directions without any direction.

Let me know what you view on this is.

PS: If thats how you feel the music then thats awesome. I have been guilty of the arm raise too. But i dunno, I dont think I could do that same dance through a entire 8 hour event.

If you want to watch people dance well, go to an r'n'b or hip hop club. People that go to dance clubs go to have a good time, and most of the time dont give toss what they look like to others
Spartan
If everybody danced the same, we'd get tired of dancing with each other:eek:

i don't care about the way i dance ....when i go out i just want to have a good time with my friends .....:o and whatever if i look ridiculous i just want to have some fun
