here's more info about Mantra...
Mantra Lounge has become Milwaukee, Wisconsins premiere clubbing destination in its three-year existence. Infusing styles of house, hip-hop, techno, top 40 and drum n bass under one venue, Mantra Lounge caters to a diverse clientele in its 7,000 square-foot space in the citys East Side neighborhood. The club features two rooms of sound and lights, which emanate their own signature vibe Wednesday through Saturday nights.
April 2005 marked a turning point for Mantra Lounge, when it revamped its interior with a sleek, warm look. The venue added five new video projectors and a set of Pioneer DVJ-4s, allowing DJs to now mix video with audio during their sets. As of now, Mantra remains the only club in Milwaukee to have Pioneers most technologically advanced DVJ model. Additionally, the clubs main room also features a brand new Turbo-Sound system, an illuminated dance floor, and plush VIP areas shaded by 32-feet of vertically hanging beads.
Next to the main room, patrons get cozy in Mantras intimate martini lounge, which glows in hues of amber and gold. The space includes a wall designed in more than 650, hand-carved wooden blocks, giving the space a cozy, textured feel. Keeping in line with Mantras Eastern-influenced dcor, exotic stencil patterns illuminate walls while free-standing hookah pipes are available to smoke. The martini room also includes a DJ booth, which features alternating formats of hip-hop/Top 40 and house, depending on the evenings events in the main room.
oh yah... who wants to smoke the hookah with me? |

| As luck would have it, the following Monday is Pulaski Day, so since it's a long weekend I'll probably be able to pick up my car in the suburbs. |

I like the place more since they remodeled. The main rooms dj booth was way to small before. Now the main room's booth is higher, larger and has some glass in front to keep drunking twat's from trying to scratch. Downside of this is unless your my height or in vip its hard to get a strong view of what the dj is up too. Its a good all around club. I went there new years. I spent most of the night in the martini bar, due to the main room playing top 40/dance. I had a great time even though we had such little room for dancing.(and I was completely messed):D
This setting will fix for a good show. It will be more intimate than the vision show was. If milwaukee, only had the energy that goes on at chicago shows |

I'll bring in the energy, you bring in the liquor.
Casimir Pulaski Day is celebrated throughout the State of Illinois on the first Monday of every March to commemorate Casimir Pulaski, a Revolutionary War cavalry officer, and is celebrated mainly in the City of Chicago. Illinois enacted a law on June 20, 1977 to celebrate the birthday of Casimir Pulaski (born March 4, 1747) and held the first official Pulaski Day celebrations in 1978. The holiday is also a special observance day in Wisconsin public schools, celebrated March 4th, as outlined in state statute 118.02.
Chicago has a large Polish population. Chicago celebrates Pulaski Day with an annual parade, and many Illinois school children are given the day off. American songwriter Sufjan Stevens commemorates "Casimir Pulaski Day" on his album, Illinois, as did rock band Big Black with the 1985 song "Kasimir S. Pulaski Day." |
