UFC has a limit to the max weight a fighter can be.
Pride is unlimited though.

Nah that's the Russian heavyweight boxer Nikolai Valuev. He won the WBA heavyweight title off John Ruiz in December becoming the heavyest and tallest champion in boxing history. It was a pretty controversial decision tho. |

It wasnt like that when UFC first started 93 i think. I have a video UFC ultimate hits, it was the very first fight Teila Tuli vs Gerard Gordeau. Little guy knocked em out. Another fight Emmanuel Yarborough vs Keith Hackney. Emmanuel is like 600lbs also gets fecked up.

Emmanual or Tuli got kicked right in the face. Not the forehead or the side of his head, but right in the face. It's amazing the punches not breaking as many hands as I would think (pre-gloves).
Emmanuel then went on to fight in the first Pride FC and getting submitting from strikes to a 140lb japanese fighter |
