Wow! I havent heard techno like that since the last time I saw Chris Liebing:eyes: Everyone I talked to was impressed! To bad they had to close it at 4am errrrrrr:mad: Oh well over all an excellent night:)

WOW!
what a wicked night. Patryk and I got there at about 11:45pm just in time to see Mateo Murphy starting. His set was good. As one of my friends referred to his set "he is playing a lot of the same tunes Holden does" which was my hint that if I was enjoying it that I really need to get more Holden in my collection :p
Anyhow, around 1:30am was when Speedy J was up. I was completely and utterly impressed by what he delivered. The vibe/crowd for this event was incredible and the sound wasn't even really that bad. (Jeff you should have come buddy)
I stayed in the back most of the time, but managed to make my way up to the front of the booth near the end of the night. I was told that I really needed to watch how Speedy J was mixing. I would say it was rather amazing. This guys hands couldn't stop moving for a 5 minutes if he tried. :)
He definitely is not lacking any type of skill at all and certainly delivered an amazing set. I was so wiped by the end of it that I tired to sit down for a few minutes but that only lasted so long before he had me back up and rockin it again. For the first time seeing him, I really couldn't ask for more.
Although it did end early which I wasn't ready for yet; it is probably just as well. Although I really would have liked to see Greg Gow spin since I have yet to really experience his sound.
I also got to meet up with my fellow TA's and non-TA's which was nice small bunch of us. Thank you guys, I had a wicked time partying with each and every one of you. It was also nice to meet Kate (MTLTA)finally and Ira and it was good to see Paul again as well.
Overall I would say the night was a definite 10/10.
Now time to get some rest before I do it all again tonight :D |

Even though I wasn't feeling up to par I still forced myself to go to this amazing night. I couldn't stop moving the whole time I was there, even if it was only bobbing my head.
It was great to meet some TA's, as well it was great partying with the ones I already know.
Scott thanx for being your goofy self and changing my mind about coming tonight, I don't regart going out at all. Even, if I can't shake this cold for the next week.:tongue2 :tongue2

I tried my best to scream,

So I fooking leaned over - AND
GAVE HIM A HIGH-FIVE!!!! MY HAND TOUCHED HIS HAND

Good thing he actually high-fived me - otherwise I probably would have slapped the side of his head.

A little birdie told me a certain vergie started recording the beginning but "stopped" it because it sucked. :mad:
When it doubt - KEEPRECORDING
I think I need to buy a new mp3 recorder - cause I had one on me but the problem is you have to plug it somewhere in order to record :mad:
ANYWAY!
I do have a few complaints.
Holy ing cameras. I don't know how mr.speedddddddddddddddddddddyyyy could handle it, but those flashes were royally irritating me.

holy - were some people yelling - I was but I didn't have a booming voice that RATTLED my head.

I guess it was my fault for being slammed right in the middle of a crowd.
Anyway - i'll try to stick to a positive review

They were really lovely - unfortunately I was too warped in my own world and enjoying speeedyyyyyyy.
The hardest thing for me to do was try and leave this night early.
I did kinda but I should have left earlier!

It's a proper techno jam for chrissakes.
My flight was supposed to get in at 11:30pm, I thought MAYBE if I was feeling okay I could cab home, change, head out but the thing was delayed 3 hours. I went to bed at 4am by the time I had gotten home. Never been so bummed about missing a party in my life...
glad to hear it was incredible, I knew it would be. |

hmmmmmmmmm ..damn even though techno is not my most favorate i wish i'd come to this. sounds like everyone were having a blast and as we know we don usually get techno djs here in TO.

WOW....what a night....TECHNO owns me
Speedy J kicked my ass....then handed it to me on a silver plater just so he could kick it one more time.
I don't know how Markus is gonna compete with last night.
Tasha and I arrived nice and early and right from the start we could tell it was gonna be a good night and a good crowd....surprisingly it was not too loud in the Gallery and the ear plugs were not needed.
I don't think my feet ever stopped moving until they turned the lights on and even then my feet wouldn't stop.
It was nice to have a small intimate TA gathering their....awesome to see you all.
I am so glad my techno partner was able to make it and keep me moving all night.....I so glad you had an awesome trip Jenn.
