Hey guys.

I just recently finished my latest production. I'd like all of you to have a listen when you got the time. Yet again I ask for brutal feedback, it's what helps me the most. I'm aware of the following flaws in the mixdown; some frequency clashes between 2khz to 7khz, missing mid low texture between 100hz and 500hz, and just a tiny bit of increase in levels of 50hz.

I gave it a few goes on my cdjs after spinning a few of my most groovy beats and noticed that the groove can be maintained but not elevated with my production, any groovy suggestions?

And also, who else on this forum produces regularly? Give us a shout so we can share samples, ideas and tips. I mean I see alot of talk about djs and their gigs around here, but arnt djs as good as the records they play?

Thanks in advanced

i suggest you the Production section of this forum

Im not a producer but I can say that this track is good imo, the melody is fukced up!
I probably wont buy the vinyl because i dont listen to this genre of electro, but it sounds great

id say u got big skillz for atmosphere
i personnaly dont work that much on this side and its a problem for me
the melody is nice... some sounds could be changed though imo
overall its not something id play cause its too dry... the bass is not the main element in the track u should put more bass... a phat bass

but man go on its really a good production

what do u use? cubase?
all-nite-freak
i liked it...it was certainly different than anything im used to, but it is far from being bad.

I would've posted on the production forum but I honestly prefer to hear what the montreal crowd has to say.

Yeah I should've added an osc of a lower octave for my lead square synth, would make the low end sound wet. The bassdrum might need a bit of a face lift, it's missin that warmth i'm looking for.

Mekroon; I use reason 3, its wires works wonders for me, but I also use wavelab to wave edit, exploit vsts and master my tracks. What do you use? :)

Cheers guys I'll keep all of you posted with my next production :toothless

Watch out for moevalith people...hes gonna ROMP the scene in 3-4 years.

This is a sick track moe. I love it, love the melody...

Mayo maybe u could do a remix of it? :D

Fanciulli would appreciate this song I think. So I have to wonder what the number one Fanciulli fan thinks of the track? Taha? :D

You asked for brutal feedback ? I'll give you a brutal one

My nintendo sounds better than this !
:tongue3

no seriously... you should try to remake the song but with heavier sounds. Like Mekroon suggested you... phater bass will help

have a listen to Micheal Burns - Fowards
if you can make your song sound a bit more like this.. it will help a lot
Caela
great track man...

but the more bass the more danceable it is!! (imo :p)...i wanna hear that thump, the one that makes me jump up instead of tapping my foot. good melody, i like when it climbs high and then releases...lots of anticipation throughout the song...just add some more bass and then repost! :)

edit: btw happy belated birthday!
