Great to see everyone out again. I met someone who motioned at me like I was gay with Phreek, which weirded me the out. So, whoever you were, I'm not gay.

wtf.

I think I maybe talked to Bobby for a couple minutes and took a pic with him so, I'm not sure how that says gay. But w/e.

Wow last night was ridiculous. Ended up finally getting a text to where the big afters was going down at 7am, a little too late for me to head over there. Partied a wee bit too hard last night but had a ing awesome night. What I caught of Woolford was great and Nic's set was unbelievable. Some tracks that I remember:

Audiojack - Robot
Tiefschwarz - Warning Siren (Buick Project Remix)
James Zabiela - Weird Science
Adam Beyer - A Walking Contradiction
Montero - Hairy Hits
Ame - Rej
Yoshimoto - Do What U Do (Paul Woolford Remix)
Bobby Peru - Erotic Discourse (Audiojack Remix)
Tiefschwarz - Damage (Buick Project Remix)

Encore: The Church - Under the Milky Way (Lance Cashion Remix)

I knew a lot more at the time but ... that's the way things go.

Not going to make it out tonight. Had a hellish hangover after a two-hour nap at 11 this morning, and a dead phone, so went back home. See y'all next weekend @ Luke/Dean/Mike.

so it wasn't crazy packed? what did you think of the vibe?
KID-M
packed but you could move

the vibe - hmmm

it was cool, had a great time. it did seem like 1/2 Pure peeps and 1/2 Spybar peeps (who were a bit disoriented/like wtf is this music, but they liked it). Will be interesting to see how the mix of people changes over time. However, I dont remember much of the latter hour or two :conf: so someone else comment please.

:haha:

You were having a great time. I can attest to that much. :D

Oh and whoever was MCing needs to study up on his electronic music knowledge. When Paul was finished and Nic was getting on, dude said Paul was 1/2 of Buick Project, which he quite obviously is not.

And like Mike said - it was like 1/2 pure people / 1/2 spybar people. LOTS of hot young suburban chicks which I was not complaining about. Not too packed, got pretty rammed for a bit but there was always room by the back bar to go chill if needed.

yea I noticed that too about the Buick Project introduction... guy who said it is definitely not a n00b when it comes to music so I was as surprised as anyone else. Anyway.

And let me just say that our own Bobby is quite the pimp.... he had quite a few "admirers" over there, and I'm not talking about guys. :D I was taking notes, lol...

did you end up getting buzzed/drunk? will have to take a raincheck on drinking w/ you. Seneca keeps dragging me out of these events prematurely, what is it with that guy.... :)

pics are up

i think the vibe will only get better and better - especially at the techno shows - all of the techno heads will be there

It's a minor technicality but I think he was transitioning from let's give it up for Paul to saying now here comes Nic, who's half of Buick Project. Then I remember there was some little scuffle that ensued when he came on again at the end of Nic's set.

I doubt it's the case, but it would be really sweet if this came to fruition based on the high school football line & calling Brian Calhoun. Bobby, make sure to bring some extra groupies to Spy Bar again this weekend :)
