That's what it comes down to.
I don't agree with the war, or bankrupting the country, or the things she mentions either, but at some point you have to come to realize what you control psychologically. It's very little.
I have extremely limited control over any of those things, so to expend energy on it that I could use to further my own life is called suffering. It's unproductive.
And also your decision making is inalienable, and nobody can take that from you. |

All I know is that Canada kicked some major ass this time round (minus our hockey team which is a whole country debate atm), especially the women!

I watched quite a lot of the Olympics, and I don't even like "sports" in general, but there's something about the Olympics. The pageantry, rooting for one's country, the history behind the athletes and how they've struggled to get there, etc...not to mention seeing things that you just don't see regulary in terms of sports, makes it all a pleasent distraction from lifes little pains-in-the-ass. |
