I'll happily admit there are situations where there are more important things than speed limits. Policemen should be more aware of that as well.
The one this thread was started for does not really seem like one to me, though. |
hey mr. pissy pants...i'm not making excuses, i WAS speeding. i'm just trying to figure out what i can do about it. i'm a citation newb, i'm just trying to get some info. is that okay with you?

I got caught doing 94 in a 55 two Decembers ago.
Paid nearly 400 dollars total.
My insurance didn't go up, though. :)
I got a lot of points, though (8-9). :( |

iirc the national minimum is $5.15, but i'm guessing pro works as a waitress, where the national minimum is like $2.35 or something.
i work delivery and get $5.00/hour + tips.
heh i've been pulled over plenty of times
ticketed twice, paid both in full and my parents never found out about them (i was 16 for the first one, week after i got my license, and the other one was senior year in high school)
after working delivery for what like 5 months, i've completely changed driving styles. all about sticking a solid 5-7 over (cops in this town are ruthless...8 over and your ass is screwed), knowing all traffic laws in full so you can exploit them, and being agressive but smart about it
idk i just don't speed anymore for the most part |

Isn't figuring out a way to avoid having to pay the ticket similar to looking for an excuse? |

dude i'm not figuring out a way to avoid paying it, i'm just trying to understand the process of what to do, how to pay it, what difference defensive driving makes, etc. where did i ever say i was trying not to pay it? what is it about TA that makes everyone want to argue!? |
