Yeah I meant Predrag too. Imo he is a great player but a bad guy on the pitch.

And boy did you get raped by the Dutch in the quarter-finals back then :D

Serbia & Montenegro won't get through the group stage, mark my words. Argentine and the Dutch will crush them.

I'd say Brazil has a 30% chance of winning the cup, Italy and the UK 20%, and France, Holland and Argentine 10%.

I agree. But I hope he continues the way he has done this season. I really hope that he can provide something special like in the Qualifier-games.

Sinus:

We played bad all the way back in 2000, and we didn't have the material and manager to go through, after all we had been in war during the early and late 90's. Besides, our team was very old, this one has at least played very well in the qualifier and didn't need Hungary to go through to the World Cup.

I hope we can go through the group-stage. I think most of the people that doesn't know S&M very well think that we'll be ed by Argentina and Netherlands. But I hope we can prove that we can play good tactical and offensive/defensive football.

What can I say more than I really want my homecountry to go through?

On paper and so far from qualifiers, Serbia does have a decent looking team.

I just don't think it'll measure up to teams like Argies and Holland who has so much attacking power from so many directions.

Heck, Croatia pulls upsets once in a while. Maybe it's Serbia's turn this time.

Ok folks let's not forget that Germany is playing on their home soil. Cynically speaking, Germany will reach at least the 3rd place or the final. I just hope Brazil won't play in the final again :rolleyes:

Serbia is going to need a Czech Republic Euro 2004 preformance. Although the Serbs dont have quite the number of stars the Czech's had they do have a few:

Vidic needs to preform well in the back and take control over the rest of the defenders like a good centre back should.

Kezman needs to play a role sorta Milan Baros did. He needs to be aware of Stankovic as Dejan is going to be the biggest threat for any opposistion.

I can see them go through although that group is tough...Argentina looks good but I feel there is a gap between the youth and the veterans in that side. Dutch same thing. I wouldn't be suprised if Serbs & Ivory Coast go through but I doubt it.

I can not believe what I am hearing. Mexico will be the team who goes to the final and wins.

Not with ty year Borghetti is having. Heck, they're thinking of bringing Blanco back and he's pretty old.

Blanco = 17-01-1973
Borgetti = 14-08-1973

As you can see, there isn't much difference between the two.

Currently there are a lot of people worried that Blanco might not make the list. He's having a bad time at the moment with his team. They are doing poorly in the Mexican league. But just yesterday they reached the final of the CONCACAF Champions. Unfortunately, Blanco wasn't playing, again because of how he has been playing lately.

As for Borgetti, I really haven't been following him lately. He was complaining about not getting enouch play time. That was, and probably still is, because of his poor performance during those times when he has had a chance to play. He has been scoring though.

And the squad has alternatives. Bravo and Franco among others are good options.

Anyway, regardless of how Borgetti has been playing at Bolton, I think he'll do a good job at the WC. He'll be going.

As for Blanco, I think he'll be back on track. I'd be surprised if he wasn't chosen for the final list. What's good in all this is the Mexico has many options to choose from. Heck, they can even take that young kid from Barca.
