liberalism forms the foundation of your LIBERAL democracy you arse clowns. stop parading your ignorance by using loose terms you barely understand. typical myopic under-educated americans :rolleyes: take a pivotal intellectual accomplishment, a body of thought almost single-handedly responsible for modern systems of justice, ownership, democracy & freedom, and totally ignore its rich history so they can throw around insults for things they didnt understand in the first place.

In this election year, I would bet that most Americans would rather be called "a liberal" than a supporter of Bush & Cheney. Since too many people have been using the word "Liberal" as slander for too long without even knowing what it means, the word is rapidly loosing meaning & significance. The Neo Conservative Republicans are now going to have to resort to intelligent political debate & ideas instead of the usual name calling. Several people on this forum have proven themselves to be the epitome of Ultra Neo Conservative
ignorance. The Ultra Conservative movement is clearly anti science & anti intellectual, the second being made obvious with the fact that Bush is not intellectually capable of handling problems in the U.S. & abroad. He doesnt even understand what should have been learned from history, especially with regerds to the Middle East. Hurricane Katrina has exposed the current administration as the most incompetent in U.S. history. If the U.S. Republican Party wants to save itself it would have to go back to its basic values such as small government & fiscal & personal responsibility which I do support but do not see in todays governance. George Bush is now doing as much damage to the future of the U.S. Republican Party as Brian Mulrooney ( a tax & spend "Conservative" ) has done to Canada's Conservative party at the end of the 1980s.
For the first time since the Brian Mulrooney administration in Canada, did a Conservative Prime Minister get elected this year. He is in a minority government the disagrees with him on most issues. It will likely be an ineffectual governance. |
