WMC Dress Code?
View this Thread in Original format

Can someone who has been to WMC before or been to these clubs before let me in on the dress code:

1) Space
2) Crobar
3) Cafeteria
4) Pawnshop

The reason I ask is that Toronto has pretty flexible dress code. In Toronto pretty much anything goes except for sportswear, hats and torn clothing. As long as you look clean and put together anything goes (athletic shoes ok [a la puma, airwalk, champion, kwiss etc], jeans ok, trendy t-shirt ok).

I don't want to show up to the above venues and look like some balls tourist. Thanks.

good question! :) i was actually considering starting a thread about this too...

specifically i'm wondering if i'll get turned away if i wear these shoes to any club:

i only ask because they're my comfiest shoes and they look cuter with certain skirts than high heels would... i've never had a problem wearing them to clubs in Chicago or Milwaukee, but i've never been to Miami before so it'd be nice to know before i pack!

and before anyone says "ew ugly shoes"... whatever, i'm a quasi-hippie who hates having sore feet at the end of the night. :p

Oh yeah! My experience has been that it's pretty relaxed dress code. I didn't go to Cafeteria, pawn shop, or Crobar...but I went to space. I think I was wearing jeans and a fitted shirt with some sneakers. Just dress nice i'm sure they won't mind what you're wearing as long as it's not shorts and sandals :p

Crobar is in the beach.. not downtown.

And Myra.. don't u have another pair of sandals?? lol.. The way most girls go dressed is cute top and jeans.. That's fine. Shoes.. i tend to wear heels [cuz i'm short]

but like for the patio at Space I rock my cute guess Sandals. But if u can pull those sandals off rocking something cute then i don't see why not ??

:conf:

I dunno though. I guess as long as you look CLEAN then there shouldn't be a problem. After your first night in Miami you'll see and learn ;)

Whatever, Myra, if theyre going to kick out a hot girl like you for wearing your fav. sandals then they dont deserve you!

haha, of course... i have many pairs of sandals, those are just my comfiest favoritest ones! ;) i have a pair of black heels that i'm bringing that are pretty comfy too, but if i'm on my feet all night they sometimes tend to make me wake up with numb toes the next day. those Birkenstocks look pretty bland in that photo i posted, but if they are paired with a cute skirt and some toe rings and anklet, they look super cute!!

screw you silly Miami and LA people with your swanky fashions!! :p

So, are non-torn jeans, clean tennis shoes and a t-shirt ok for guys?

dunno, probably something with a collar, like a polo shirt...

During the WMC there really isn't too much of a dress code. I always dress for comfort, esp if im planning on being at space for 12 hours. If you have a ticket, you should be good to go. There are people from all over the world with all differnt styles so they have to be more accepting.

However, if you go to Miami any other time of the year expect a more strict dress code.
