Exactly what I was thinking.

For the newcomer it is hard to identify a track, because every track does sound similar on ASOT. Another sure fire way is I often find myself saying oh god... 'that must be a new Tyas track' so its fairly easy to find the artist on that particular tracklist, and likewise, if it is a new track from a fresh new artist (heres hoping...) I'm bound to know the generic sound of 50 percent of the other artists on ASOT, so just work forward or back from artists/tracks I am familiar with.

Just enjoy the music, and if your that bothered about it, spend the time in going through. I'm actually glad you are really that desperate to find out the track name! I haven't done this in a while!!

Not really. It's just that all the tracks sound the same. Silly boom boom boom music.

People used to say that about house ages ago. Thought that was silly too.

Dosent he merge two tracks sometimes, like first part of a track is played, than he plays another different track, and than he finishes it with second part of the first track he played. Its like squeezing a track in between the track.

its called djeing.

I do that, but his was an Ableton mix, so was pretty easy to identify when a track changes. But in case of good mixes by big names like in Global Trance Grooves, ASOTs... it sometimes gets very difficult to identify a track changing.

Also like when you dont know names in a row, like in tracklist above suppose I dint knew even one track in first 5 tracks, so I start listening and after track two, everything is so meshed up and intermixed, so seamless, that I cant get to decide which track is 3rd and which track is 4th one. There is sure a difference but it so subtle that you fail to identify that its actually two tracks and not one. Thats good mixing.

ASOT is done on Ableton.

Btw there's always cue sheets...
