HOLY MOTHER#*@%ING WTF!!!!!!
I'm just in total awe right now....I woke up from dreaming about continuing to dance and banging to the massive dirty beats! You guys honestly missed the BEST set and party of the year...it was even better, slightly better than Loco Dice and Misstress B. The night totally made up for last week's deadness....
After predrinking at Christina's (more like me watching her drink lol), we got there just a bit before 11, and there was an actual lineup for once. The bouncers decided to ask us for ID but I wasn't worried since last week they didn't care that I wasn't 21....but last night, since the place was already packed, those ******s decided to give me about it. They're like "sorry guys, it's 21+ tonight", and motioned for us to leave. I was really infuriated! I had been to that place 3 weeks in a row and never had a problem with this before, so why now?! Like I don't even look young to begin with...and I even had a members card (which I totally forgot to show them...but I doubt it would have changed anything lol) bastards...but yea.. NOTHING was gonna stop me from seeing my favourite niggah Donald Glaude. So I called one of the promoters Ally to ask her if she could do something about this bull, and so she told one of the bouncers or security guards who worked there, she pointed to us, and they said "ok guys, you can come in" w00t!!! Like I said...NOTHING was going to stop me. :D So after we got in, we noticed that they opened up the 2nd floor this time, and even though it was early, the place was really packed. Couldn't find any familiar faces, so we just waited a few mins before they opened downstairs. It really sucks not being able to drink but I managed... The dancefloor was pretty much packed until the end, which was really surprising. Most of the posers, guidos, and snobby folk left around 2:30 but there was still a massive crowd. That's when I noticed something: Alot of them were sketchy, and alot of them looked familiar...and that's when I realized that it was the old System Soundbar crowd!!!! WTF!! That really made me feel like home. Finally a Soho night with the perfect crowd. They all cheered and went nuts, dancing like maniacs :P. I Left at the end, which was a disappointing 5:30, but it could have been worse. Apparently Glaude headed to Comfort Zone to party it up after, but I was way too beat to make myself go. I know I say this too much, but I don't think I've danced this hard while sober.
I'm not sure who went on first, but I don't think it was Manzone & Strong. I think it was only one half of the team but regardless, they played pretty decent tunes. Nothing too spectacular for an opener set, but that's reasonable. Robbie Rivera went on around 12:30 I believe? He started off a little bit too mainstream, with one vocal tune after another, but that ****** was just testing the crowd. After about 20 minutes or so he started playing some SICK progressive house!! His style reminded me of Sander K's; he even played some of the same tunes. His transitions weren't mindblowing, but the choonage was just awesome. Alot of his own productions were played, which was good, but something was missing. I was going nuts but my energy had no effect on the crowd around me...if anything, they were killing it for me, but it's ok, cause the women were just smoking hot. After a while I looked at the stage, and then I saw the ******!!!! He disappeared for a bit and that's when Robbie played his last tune...and it was FLOAT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! Float....away....with....me... <3
I thought of my buddies George and Dave during the tune, and I was like "Those bastards should be here!!!!" Even though I wasn't under the influence...I was still floating high above lol
Donald Glaude went on around 2:30. I rushed to the front and I was ready for it!!!! That niggah is the people's deejay! The Marlboro!!! The Original Dirty Clown!!!! I just wanted to scream at him the whole time...and I did...and lost my voice haha. He hasn't changed a bit...still got the marlboro hair, those whacked eyes of his, and the energy of a wargod LOL! I ing loved it!!!! His set was the best out of the 3 of his that I've heard. He played mostly tech house, with some techno on the side, a little bit of prog, and even a few minimal tunes. It was just the perfect mixture!!! A flow like no other. My night couldn't have been better, but then out of nowhere shows up Sanaa!!! My little edm sis...wow...I had the biggest smile on my face because of everything. After that...that ****** decides to drop one of my favourite tunes....MY WASHING MACHINE!!!!!!! Except it was an instrumental version of it with other vocals and samples used....so Cribby screamed out the washing machine vocals instead LOL. I went absolutely crazy....I looked just as insane and whacked on the dancefloor as Glaude did!!! lol. A few minutes later...he played FOR SALE - BUY NOW!!! and I had a feeling...it wasn't the original..and I was right...it was the Jack's House mashup!!!! In the beginning there was jack, and jack had a groove!!! OMGWTFBBQ! lol I was bouncing around, slapping the out of those ugly pillars, and singing along as if I were Jack himself :D Glaude was going to stop at 5, but everyone kept yelling and I kept screaming out "niggah some more!" hahaha. ARE YOU READY?! oooooooooooooooh yaaaaaaaaaa. He played some more stuff, but this time it was more prog and some electro. His last song was Cirez D - Re-match which was a sick closure to the set. I shook his hand and screamed at him...and I think he was afraid of me...ya...the most whacked out niggah...afraid of Cribby! ahahahahaha. Unfortunately he didn't call me a nigga... but I can pretend he did, right? lol
Hmm...I wrote too much...but too bad This party was off the walls...if Soho continues to inhabit the old System Soundbar crowd then this will be my new home. Donald Glaude is my roll model.....like I said...he is the original Dirty Clown, and I can't wait until he visits our circus again :D
Christina - You are ridiculous! You were so smashed by 2 am that you kept stumbling everywhere. I kept playing with your mind by poking you and hiding...and then you blamed it on that hot chick lmao. You smelled some weed...and you suddenly became a hound dog sniffing the source. Me and Ann were laughing at you so much...I loved it! lol And then when you put on my DCA sweatband and you were trying to take a picture of it beside my face...you were using the wrong side of the phone to take the picture! LOOOOOOOL :stongue: Too funny...It's too bad you left early...next time dance more, drink less!
Nada I was pleasantly surprised to see you and Ali :) It's been quite a while! Sorry if my wackyness scared you guys lol. I really hope you liked Glaude. You didn't seem to be too into it, but maybe twas my imagination. Hopefully you'll come out before Decadence...perhaps another TIL night? :)
Nice seeing a few others...Sean Cassidy of course <3, Ally, thx so much for getting me in...as you can see from this review it means alot to me hehe, Tara, was hoping to party with you a bit but I missed you after Glaude went on. Met some TA lurkers, and Mickey (Xavier Morality), nice meeting you too :)

hahaha Cribby, ya I was doin good...Lots of thanks to Xavier!!!! Mickey, yo got me to do Tequila. I dont do Tequila. Now I remember why!
I had an awesome time, despite the annoyance in the beginning with the bouncers but meh, it was taken care of ASAP. Stayed as late as possible, then took advantage of a free ride with a friend who was at another club close by...perfect timing :)
edit: what was with all the couples winding and grinding???? Totally forgot that it was a mainstream club, until I realized that there was about 4 couples surrounding Cribby & Co. and I, just goin at it lol |

robbie rivera killed it for me. when he was done with thas ty set of his i was so tired i could barely move anymore.
glaude was ok, he is the peoples dj, its always pleasure going crazy with him but he can do it much much better.

yeah it was fabian strong that opened the night. 10-12 was his set. robbie played from 12-2:30 and donald closed. joe manzone had to play at lot332 until 2am (m&s regular friday night residency) but he came by right after he was done. |

Ya since most Ta's were @ kabin this turned out pretty decent , would have been nice to check out both parties but just didn't happen.

Chris I had a fantastic time!!!! Glaude was very energetic! a bit too much techno for me at first but things got better!!! p.s I WILL KILL SOMEONE IF I HEAR NO MORE CONVERSATIONS EVERY AGAIN HAHAHAHA i cannot stand that track anymore!!!!....t'was a very last minute decision... Ali and i were at Metro for a friends bday thingy and decided at like 1:30 to bizounce WOW I love TIL more and more!!! :crazy: :crazy: :crazy: F'IN TUNE of the nite -----> groove is in the heart!!!! wow i went absolutely balistic lol ...Sean it was luvly seeing you and thanks for the intro to Christina from rampant very cool girl :) had fun times hangin with u all for a bit....Anne it was nice to meet you ur a sweety!!
