Well i just got back from the show...i only went there to see Tiesto...but MAN! what a wicked crowd!! and a pretty good set done by Tiesto...
DAMN!! when they played 'Seven Cities', everyone went nuts!!! The mood was so welcoming.
All in all, the ambient was good, Tiesto kept the crowd moving, and i was satisfied.

Peace out....

Basically I compared it to PVD.. First reaction was..
" this z ghetto!" ( too much hype circulated over the theme of this place.. I thought it was goin to be KICKIN! not some cheezy plastic snowflakes all over the place. )Later on when the lights and lasers kicked in at the front things totally changed, made everything look real nice.
The crowd was cool but COMON! stop walking pick a SPOT and stay there,

IT GOT CROWDED.. hehe i was at the front, but eventually ppl kept GETTIN infront of me somehow!!! i moved further and further away from the stage.

I didn't like the set too much, there was good tracks but not sequentially.. He would spin an amazing track than follow it up by 3 ty tracks and than back to an amazing track.. in the end thou got good, amazing track after track, and ended it all with his new release.

jan_johnson-flesh__tiesto_remix-vinyl

I was expecting more from tiestoz set, like MORE !!!NEW!!! trance MELODIES.

Nywayz, aftah tiestoz set orki... was spinnin 1st track was puttin me to MAAAD sleep,. so i went in to the chillin tent.. dude playin the violyn was pretty cool, live beats on the spot.. it was more ambient/crossover with atmospheric + dnb at times. it was gettin close to 6:00 so i decided to check out aqua lounge..

i walk in .. there'z this kid spinnin MAAAAAAAAAD TRANCE.. im talkin kickin beatz to the max, that's where i got my kickz.. he span a few tracks than let this dj take over..
he was bald.. spinnin some nice choonz

i stayed there till 9.. went back n forth to the main room and aqua lounge.. than ended up outside somehow... I just got home.. i had no sleep.. hopefully what i wrote makes sense..

Overall night - amazin' but tiesto wasn't the one who made it a success.

ps: i have photos, developin them today, but now.. im goin to hybernation. sleepin till 10pm tonight.. *keep yo fingaz crossed that they turn out"

Tiesto was pretty cool...
I went crazy when he played Taiko - Silence..
There was some guy with a huge glow stick at the front...
And later on this guy with like a VERY BRIGHT orange glowstick...
He made my day when he played Flesh and Skydive. I was singing and dancing like a bitch...
The only turndown about that night was because some ing loser decided to GRAB one of my glowsticks and he made it look like it WAS HIS. ******.
Anyhow...
I loved the fireworks. :)
I also got Tiesto to sign one of my records and I also took a pic with him at TowerRecords. TeeHeeHee...
But still... PvD is still my god :P

great night!
played a bunch of the same tunes pvd played..
the Micheal Woods remix of Salt tank's Eaugina 2000 was ggrrreeeat!!,
i liked the first half better than the second, (he got a little climax/hinrg happy), the crowed was loving it tho.. the place was INSANE!!!!
especially when the music stopped before he came on.. my goodness, the whole place went dark and u could barley see him come to the decks.. then the first track starts.. the place explodes!, litereally!, fireworks!, flames! all the lazers turn on (we didn't even know they were there until then).. fake snow starts falling from the roof into the lazers.. the crowed was SOOO loud..Toronto definitly made a good impression on tiesto.. the party itself was wicked, it was all done up with snowflakes and silver sparkly e, big snowmen dancing around...(scaring the e out of some girl that must have been tripping on something :)
they had this chillout room, with live abstract ambient music.. pretty cool..
visuals galore!!, they even had the same lazer that was at the max graham rave, but it was doing different stuff.... free oranges (they were gooood)
i really liked hybernate.. it was dark progressive techno stuff..had me moving.. the only downside being he drained me before tiesto.. but tiesto triggered my reserve energy tanks
-oh, and then at the end of his set tiesto plays his own remix of flesh.. but as soon as he slows down the record and waves, the crowed errupts again,, they keep going.. and he lays down another track!.. and guess which track?
'freefall - skydive'
- i lost it, dancin, prancin and singing like a school girl, heh..
(nobody else around me knew the track, they weren't even moving!!)
overall good night..
up until i left(after skydive).. exhausted.. took a cab with my buddy to union.. realised the the subway doesn't run until 9, ouch.
:)

OMG!!!! i'm still looped, so sorry if i don't make sense. got there at 1:30, popped a little something and it kicked in just as tiesto hit the decks!! i was absolutely overwhelmed by the fireworks, lasers and all the e. The crowd was just sooo god damn friendly, they did a beautiful job decorating, no lineups for the washrooms, and Tiesto kicked my ass all night long!!!! what else can you ask for?? some of the favs of the night were seven cities, flesh and of course the Tiesto's encore with skydive. also, the lounge was soo jammin in the early morning.

peace, i'm outtie...

This was the first rave I have ever been too. And let me tell you it was ing crazy! I was in the front center the whole show...I kept on screaming TIESTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...tell me if you saw me or something. I went absolutley crazy when he played Yahel - Voyage and so did everyone else! Damn, the crowd was wicked so nice. WE can't forget about Carbonell becuase I think he did an amazing job spinning. My friends got Tiesto's autographed cd and an autographed ticket and we filmed 3 hours of the rave. Tiesto was amazing he blew the roof off the docks. He couldn't believe how crazy the crowd went on some moments. All in all Tiesto is the god of trance and it was the most amazing night in my life.

Were you the one in front with the cap and the camera with the green glowsticks?

Not sure if that was you but I saw a guy snatched a gowstick and you apparently looked around and I pointed out that guy to ya. I looked at you and shrugged. Not if that was you though....

Anyways, the party was great. Excellent decorations, help enhance the atmosphere. I came to the party at 2 am, chilling at home after Tower Records. Got a couple of my 12" signed, including my limited edition Delerium- Silence Pic dics signed.:D

Got to chat with the man himself about his new single "Flight 643", which he played both at Tower and The Docks. Awesome! He also hammmered "Urban Train"...WOOHOO!!!

All in all... a good show by Sonic State! Cheers to them...

Holy christ! What a ing show. I was blown on my ass. Tiesto played a great set. To this day I still say he has the best record bag in the business.
Off the top of my head some of the tracks he played were:

Yahel - Voyage
Skydive (remix)
Flesh (the track from Oakie's Another World)
the track with the sample saying "come with me!". God so wicked.

Sorry I know I recognized like a 100 more songs but at the moment that's all I can remember. lol I went with two newbies, they cried, they had such a good time. I saw soo many peeps too! Great ing set Tiesto~ Looking forward to seeing you again.

The party was great, well organized (exept for god damn coat check). The music was excellent and the crowd was great. I LOVE IT! I WANT MORE!

Wow...that is my impression about last night. Everything exceeded my expectations...from production, to the music. Carbonell was the perfect warm-up for Tiesto, smooth melodic beats that turned into sweet progressive buildups, a perfect journey. Then, God took stage.....Tiesto hit every single chord inside of me, like no other dj has done before. That is the simple reason why I call him my favorite dj.
I am not exactly sure if anyone from the board introduced themselves to me during my set, I did say hello to many people though! If anyone caught my set, I hope you enjoyed it, I had a blast and can't wait to do it again!

Much respect to the SonicState/Phlux crew!
Peace,
Steve :D

oops!, i thought the dj b4 tiesto was hybernate.. in that case, i really like gene carbonell!!

viceroy, were yu the one that spun b4 him????

Viceroy
Phlux...I played in the 2nd room from 6:15-7:30. Also, just curious, how did you come up with username?

Peace,
Steve :D

No, I didn't wear a cap.
You know what.. I think that all the trancEaddicts were the ones wavin their hands around when good tracks were playing... And like the other ppl didn't know that a good track was coming up...
I just had to listen to the beginning of Skydive and I was like jumping up and down.. I also saw a few ppl raise their hands.. So I guess those ppl had to know the song that was coming up. Hehe..
This ing gay homo sort of buff guy snatched one of my two glowsticks... I didn't want to cause trouble so I let it go. That's $3 gone down the drain..
Oh well..
I was wearing a black shirt and white pants if anyone saw me. :) w/ green and blue glowsticks.

Btw, who were the ppl on stage dancing like on the left and right side of the decks?
There were a few ppl there.
