I assume I've got the most recent WMP, my laptops only a few months old.

strange damn, works fine for me with just a restricted http proxy
i know i had issues at home when i didnt use IE, but once I used IE, wmp installed the codec and was fine then on |

umm, ok.
So I've got WMP, does that mean I've got the codec installed in IE (or however it works). Is having the proggy enough or is there something else?
If so, how do I check to find out? |

For more informative error messages rather than nothing
open up wmp, goto file -> open url
put in
mms://live.fedsq.hyperlink.net.au/sample_broadcast/
that's the direct link to the stream ;) |

bah, it. The proxy connections are set up the same as for my browsers but its coming up with network erors "The server might not be available. Verify that you are connected to the network and that your proxy settings are correct."

I suppose I should actually do some work, so probably a blessing in disguise:p |

that happens to me too with WMP online stuff. all my connection settings are fine. stupid microsoft :rolleyes: |
