i discovered that i liked trance when i was living with my uncle. first time i ever had access to the web and that was back when napster was free so thats how i found out about it. the first song that i heard that i loved was:
Paul van Dyk/For an Angel(e-werk club mix)
but that was the one that got me hooked and ill never forget it.

would, without a doubt, be

Orbital - Halcyon & On & On

and the quintessential Trance 101 anthem

Paul van Dyk - For an Angel
Kko
For me, it would be
PvD-For an angel
Oakie's tranceport hooked me into this world, too.;) ;)

That's easy...

Robert Miles - Children

But I didn't know that was trance, I just thought it was *good* dance music.

The song that got me hooked on the genre was

Lustral - Everytime (Nalin & Kane Mix)

ahhhh... :)

Same story as above, but different track and artist. My first "trance" song was from 1996, Josh Winx, Higher State of Consciousness...if you can call that trance....
phatdelt
sandra collins - flutterby (x-cabs mix) - then i found one of her sets online and listened to it and Voyager's Time Travel into Deepsky's Stargazer pretty much hooked me

Can't say which song did...

grew into dance/trance my entire life..well, as far as my memory goes back. probably living in 'trancenation' holland helped a bit with that...:)

stuff like alice deejay, darude etcetera is pretty much seen as 'crap' by most holland folks here (no offence, personally dont hate it) because we all heard it a zillion times on local radios..

me, (just personal) the beauty of silence - svenson & gielen really made me curieus if there was more of this stuff out there...(there IS :) :) :) )....still am grateful for that song towards johan gielen...:)

so you could say this is the song that really pulled me in, but I've just always liked electronic music..
