I find tattoos interesting, as they can show something about the person (even if the tattoo is there just because it "looks good"). The only reason I don't get one myself is because tattoos is the fact that you can't go back (unlike piercings).
As for those who hate it, I really can't understand the problem: If it's not in your body, why the hell care? :conf: |

| Never had any inclination to get a tattoo, some of them look alright when they're new but after a few years it just gets ugly, blurred and looks nasty. Plus, I'd hate to wake up one day and just realise what I'd thought was good last week/month/year, was in fact rather awful... |

A) why does this page keep asking me to log into "artoftravelworldwide?" Can somebody fix that, please?
B) back on topic, I'd thought about getting a small one at the top of my back/at the base of my neck a couple years ago, but realized, as a lot of people do, that I'd probably regret it at some point. Besides--now, I figure, if part of the point is the be 'unique,' what's more unique than your own skin?
On another note, there're plenty of places where tattoos might be the norm, but you'd be fine without them. There are far more, though, where they're not the norm, and having them isn't acceptable. Whether you agree with it or not, the fact is that it's just not something that's considered to be ok at a lot of places, and deciding to put them on your body is a choice to exclude yourself from those environments. The standards were there before you got your ink. |

tattoos are stupid,
u dont need tattoos to mean something. There are other stuff like photographs, memories, gifts and other meaningful items that can actually mean a lot more than some ink on ur body. 10 years down the road, its gonna look like and nobody wants to see em, even u.
and no, tattoos on a girl = not hot.
same goes with piercings on other parts of the body cept the ears and maybe belly button. I'm not old fashioned in anyway, but to put a stupid ring on ur eybrow or nose just screams attention and looks awful. |
