Am I the only one that likes these two tracks? :conf:
I've liked all the Lange and Gareth Emery collaborations so far but "Three" is great. :)
I also like "Back on Track", not sure why... maybe because it's something different (as in the bassline or whatever). But I'm sure it's nothing new for trance. :o |

| I am a fan of lange. He has made some really solid tracks and remixes. Imo 2001 was a great year for him, Drifting Away, Point of View remix, Will I remix (yeah cheesy Ian van Dahl, but he made it better), and he did some other stuff around then too that I can't think of at the moment. After that I didn't really care for anything of his save Firewall - Sincere. I love three and back on track is really growing on me. I see it as in the same vain as The Teachers - Wanna B, which I loved from the first time I heard a sample on chemical records when it was listed in the forthcoming section two years ago. |

Quite simply, I really like this track.
1) I don't care if its a rip off. I've only been listening to trance for 3 years now and I don't know Johan's older stuff.
2) I don't care if Emery's a douchebag. That was a dick comment to make, but it doesn't mean the track sux.
3) Is this song even trance? It doesn't sound very trancey IMO. So maybe it is a e trance song, but a good whatever-genre-it-is song. |

| Another vote here for 'Back on track' being completely unlistenable while 'three' is actually a great track. Been playing it quite a bit recently |

While I'll admit there are some tracks on our label that do share similarities (afterall they aren't in the same genre for nothing), to group them all in one is ridiculous.
Lost Sequence, Angels & Demons, The Morning After, Cavity, Ra, how can you say these sound the same? Yes we prefer melodic trancers, maybe moreso than other labels, but I don't think you'll find another label that's as dedicated to 'epic' trance as we are.
Did we put out a few 'questionable' tracks? Probably, but times are tough and there's a shortage of outstanding material.
At the end of the day, just listen to what you like guys. Bashing others musical taste in order to make your seem as the more correct one is a childlish thing to do.
Music is the spice of life. |

| I listened to both tunes a little more closely. Back on Track is a squandered opportunity in that I like the breakdown when that sample comes in, I even kind of like the vocals but when the bassline comes in it sounds out of tune and it sounds bad when the beat comes back. Once again three sounds good at the break but gets hella boring once the beat comes back. Both tunes end up being lame. |

Honestly i thought this was a really good tune. Lots of different uses of percs and synths. There's a small part in the song that slightly resembles a small part in another song, Greg Churchill's - "Infused trash".
But it looks like i'm part of a very few bunch :-( |

I usually judge how well a track's doing by how many tranceaddict nerds slate it ;) but in all seriousness, I'd like to correct a few glaring inaccuracies in this post:

a) it's Five AM, b) Back On Track is actually on Lange Recordings.

one of the tracks, back on track i believe, is a remake of an old trance song, which johan gielen used to play some 5 or 6 yrs ago. it clearly has a sample in it. i just dont know the name of that track. i have it on cassette though, since i recorded the set of gielen on tapes. that's how i noticed the sample in 'back on track' ...
therefore, its just a cheap rip/remake i believe. nonetheless, i like it kinda |
There are absolutely no samples from other tracks in Back On Track, it's not a remake of any other track. Both vocal and music are 100% original recordings. Check your facts in future before attempting to pass off utter bollocks as fact. |
