Dark&Dirty Tribal! (pg. 3)

I usually post on MTLNIGHTS but I have to say that the tranceaddict forum is a wellspring of info on ALL types of music and all the goings on...globally.

Anyways as I was perusing the subjects I came across this one and felt that I just had to post. Those who have ever met (or seen) me be it the hallowed halls of STEREO or on the floor of CIRCUS...know that my preference is that of what I like to call DDST (Deep Dark Sexy Tribal). Thinking about it, harkens me back to the days when I would tilt my cap over my eyes to block my sight, and just let the music move me. I usually sported a grim visgae back then...telling everyone around...DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DISTURBING ME...I"M DANCING THE CRAP OUT OF THIS!!! lol.

Though I've tried (and to some degree have succeeded) in smiling a lot more when I dance...one thing that hasn't changed is my love of the Dark Tribal sound. My first experiences with it came with Mr. Lawler...which then built itself up when attending his sets at ARIA (the controversial "technical difficulty" night notwithstanding) and loving the way the darkness enveloped me and the beat nudged my feet. There is something primal about moving to drums...almost instinctive. A beat a movement...a beat a movement...and so on and so forth. The deeper, the darker, the better.

Victor Calderone, Chus and Ceballos...
Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, and Roger Sanchez (when they're in a tribal mood)...
And some local favorites such as: Stefane Lippe, Serge Duchesne, and Mark Anthony (he destroyed me at Black and Blue 14 which so far was the best massive, musically for me)

All (and others) have built me up to boogie down, on hard dark beats.

Do you hear them in the distance?
Those low rumbling booms?
They draw closer..
The Dark Drums come...
