Dark&Dirty Tribal! (pg. 4)

Tribal is like anything else, if you do a whole set of it, it can become annoying and repetitive. And can also be very bad if you choose some tracks with vocals by a man with big balls saying "the druuuuums of undergrouuuuunnnd" ... very 2000. Some of the new tracks by Rick Pier O'neil or RPO can be dangerously old school for a more educated crowd, but others are still good (like D Formation).

BUT, I always found very effective to put a good, nicely done, modern tribal track in a set that is not entirely based on that, like a bonus element. That can give a second wind to a tired crowd.

Ifind that Luca Ricci as well as London 909 have some interesting tracks as well.LMAO @ the man with big balls saying underground drums.Cant be worse than Suzane Palmer:p

edit:Martin do you know if RPO and Eric Entrena are one and the same?
Ravemontreal
Well one of the latest RPO release has also Eric Entrana's mix on the other side... So I guess it would be pretty dumb to put your aka on the same vinyl, but it's possible.
all-nite-freak
I guess they must work closely together, because one seems to always do a remix of the others songs.

Good stuff guys, I dont feel like so much of an outsider anymore. You guys all speak of great DJ's but it seems none of you seem to listen to Calderone!? I can almost assure you that he is one of the best DJ's and producers out there and would change the way you guys saw tribal music ... give it a shot. HE is the one that got me into this genre.

hahaha i am a fool

RPO is really Rick Pier O'neil.....

I just made the discovery of a nice ambient track with tribal undertones today...Not to hard and some nice melodic aspects to it.
