. I have heard they are excellent 303 clones beyond beleif, but paying $600 for a 303 sound isnt warranted when i got mine for only $150.

Like I said, I don't even plan on using it. It just LOOKS so damned cool that I want one.
When I get some more bucks again, I'm going to get the Phoscyon vsti. It's bloody awesome. I tweak bass way too much to go hardware on it. I save presets like mad, so it would be impossible for me to use hardware, even with the ability to save presets on it.
Any other synth is a different story, chances are I'd either record patterns or sample. I know that sounds a bit backwards, but it's the way I've always done it.
What's your favorite lead synth? Pad synth? Those are what I'm looking for right now. |

I'm not worried about the cash, I was commenting on Skills massive gear collection, there's a difference between buying one synth and 50!!!!!
I want to get into hardware for a more hands on feel, I'd rather sit in front of a keyboard than a computer.
i have a midi keyboard and the software option is very good, nothing wrong with it, i just want a keyboard, always have always will, i just figured software was a cheaper way to make sure I want to invest the money.
I also reckon if I play live (dream) a keyboard would look cooler than a laptop.
And I figured the Korg Karma looks like it does everthing in one unit, which is what im after. |

Quite honestly, I can't picture myself playing keyboard or computer live. Singing perhaps. Mixing on hardware, sure. But I always think the keyboard players in a band look like dorks.... they should be hitting light-up pipes with bones or something rad like that.
I could see a DJ on a computer, and props to ANYONE who does anything live, I just can't see myself in front of my computer at a club.
I'd just be pressing the play button anyway.
Live is for showmanship, or building crows up. If you aren't doing either, what's the point?

All good. Should have more people talking about hardware on the forum. Hopefully you become a bit of a catalyst. |

the control 16 faders give me over the music and thus the crowd is really awesome. you can bring up the one sound they are all rocking to and feel like you are "raising the roof" literally with your hands |
That's what it's all about! Play alot of live gigs? |

Get a 606, it is the 303s brother, looks like it, and is retardedly oddball compared to the 303. Costs near nothing too :P |
hey boy...six-oh-six is a drum machine...
unless you're speaking of SP-606 but that is a sampling machine...so WTF? :wtf: |
