Is the front license plate required by law?

| I remember hearing when I was living in TO, that the front was also required by law in Ontario. However, I'm no positive. |

Its law everywhere in Canada except Quebec.
I know a number of people who have gotten tickets for not having one. Also, don't think you can get away with putting it in your windshield, that's not legal either. |

It's not required in Nova Scotia. Er, I should say I've never once gotten a ticket or warning from a cop in 10 years of driving here. |

Hmm. That may be my mistake.
Maybe they don't give a damn. My bro went for years without one here before finally getting a ticket.
Either way, I know its law in Ontario. |

No worries, I don't know for sure either. All I know is if it is required here as well, I've gotten away with it (been pulled over more then my fair share). |

You'll get ticket after ticket after ticket without a front plate. The police are usually anal about that.
My buddy was pulled over 7 times for it in a single weekend 2 summers ago. |

Gotta love cops with nothing better to do then look for a front license plate. Which IMO is useless anyways. |

Not useless. It's the main target for laser speed detection systems that are phasing out RADAR. That and big huge headlights. |
