[EUROPE 2006] planning thread .. anyone going?

I'm planning to go in July.
Can anyone offer any traveling tips? places to hit? know anything about the Love Parade? anyone else going?
So far .. I know PVD is happening in Germany .. (below)

The Loveparade is back in Berlin on July 15th 2006 and we will hosted our annual party "The Love from Above" on Friday 14th of July - the night before the parade. More info´s, our full line up etc coming soon."
would be nice to meet some people / ta's along the way. |

| ill be in Italy for most of the summer, and ill definitely be at the Love Parade and Love From Above party :) im also trying to go to Global Gatherin in the UK, some DJ friends from there told me i should check it out and theyd let me sleep at their place, but its all about my family, theyll think im a crackhead if all i went on vacation to Europe for was to go clubbing hahaha... ill definitely be at Love Parade tho! :D |

| Yeah, my plans are completely up in the air right now. I'm trying to land one of two amazing summer jobs for the purpose of networking, but should both of those options fall through, I'll be in Poland for most of July and August. Which, of course, would mean that I'd drop over at Love Parade and any other German events that look interesting, it only being a few hours away by train. Interestingly enough, I'm hoping Tatana will spin a good old classic set in Krakow or Prague, as a lot of what she does now are europop productions that, while fun at times, can get a little cheesy. Moreover, my music taste has changed a lot ever since hitting the NYC club scene... before I came here I thought house was boring... now I love it! |

Is anyone else finding airline tickets more expensive than usual? It seems that tickets to most of continental europe during the whole month of june and july are like 20% more than I'd usually pay. I know there's the world cup and all but it's kind of ridiculous, no? I mean, I'm going to a wedding near Copenhagen and the cheapest flight I can find right now is almost $1k.
I know they say you should wait until like 3 weeks before your flight to book it but I'm getting kind of worried. |

Flights to Ibiza are outragous right now. But I don't want to chance it and let it get worse. You have to figure the cost of oil isn't helping things and flights are priced according to that. Most likely airlines are charging based on expected increase in fuel costs. |

Bah.. Ibiza is so overrated... Drunken Brits & Canadians (sorry but Anglos and 'fun' don't go together)... and prices are awful...
Prague, on the other hand, FTW! Beautiful down-to-earth girls, lots of them!!! Different culture! Cheap prices... |
