I'm not sure how you dress, but that determines a lot, because certain glasses just won't go with your style.
Black plastic frames are ok, but not as a primary set, because they're a bit played out. they can rock the right outfit. too bad i lost mine. right now i have completetly rimeless frames that i love, but they're not for casual dress, unless i want to look like a geek.
i wear my contacts 95% of the time, though.
my next pair is going to be clear plastic frames, probably this summer sometime, and wil probably get worn every other month or so, while my other glasses are worn about twice a month. |

Work does become a factor, so glasses do have to be able to take some punishment (thinking one of those bendable frame thingies)
Contacts would be nice, but I'm not sure how that'll work since my slant eyes are even more slanter than average asian and can't wear contacts for when doing certain stuff at work. (things might get into my eyes)
What's the opinion on getting disposable contacts to supplement glasses? |

i used to wear glasses. got my first pair around grade 4. then when i was in grade 10, my friends decided to give my hair a change along with contact lenses. what a difference. now i dont even own a pair of glasses because of the type of lenses that i wear. they are known as "dream lenses" and correct my vision while i wear them. they reshape the cornea so my prescription fluctuates which doesnt allow me to wear glasses.
but ya. contacts all the way. |

i would suggest a pair of glasses for work and when you're just being lazy around the house. when you go out, use disposable.
lol @ your eyes being slantier. you havent seen me after i smoke a joint. my friends say my eyes disappear, |

do it. I would rather wear contacts with safety glasses than just glasses. the contacts help with side to side vision and you don't have to constantly adjust them on your face hence freeing up your hands. I find my eyes also get far less iritated with contacts in... ie playing rugby, I could run through dust fields must more easily. I think you'll be surprised at how much more efficient you can become with contacts in place. |

| I'm pertty lucky beign under both my parent's insurances, so I have contacts AND glasses...and I get new ones every 2 years. I just got new ones really recently...and I keep my old ones too. The new ones I got are Ralph Lauren black rimmed (baby blue on the inside!) plastic ones that kinda have a 50's cat eye glasses look. Then I have my typical wire ones and another pair of black plastic ones. I actually find myself wearing glasses a lot more than contacts now...like when I'm in school or working. Contacts tend to dry out my eyes a lot, so I usually just wear them when I go out. |
