What kind of glasses should I get?

Debating whether to change my look.

For say, 18 years, I've had the dork look of glasses. These big bug eyed ones. I've been content with it since I don't give a rat's ass how I look. (as long as I don't run around buck nekkid)

But I feel like a change.

So I'm debating. Do I want to keep getting dorky glasses or something else?

Here's the current glasses

Change is good. Embrace change.

I have three pairs. Clear (but lightly tinted purple) Ralph Lauren.

Then I have upper rim Gold. Another in Black. For many looks.

contacts, all the way!

I have glasses, but youll never catch me in them. Contacts all the time.

Contacts all the way, I've been wearing them now for the last 2 years and I absolutely love it. It's so much better to have a perfect line of vision instead of only seeing "through a box".

the dork look is not only from your glasses, so if you want to change your look, it's gotta be more than just glasses.

but for glasses specifically if you want to change your look, i suggest go for plastic frames. wire frames are dorky no matter which "designer" they are. plastic frames, go to pacific mall and have a look.

agreed. I still have glasses for lounging around when I'm too lazy to put contacts in but otherwise everything has improved since I made the switch 6 or 7 years ago. I went from being a slightly above average althelete in a bunch of sports to kicking some serious ass (literly in the case of martial arts and rugby) my hand eye co-ordination improved dramatically, balance improved, driving improved esspecially at night... Snowboarding improved (you can wear contacts under goggles really easily, not so much for glasses) Really I can't imagine not having them now.
I'd say if you can get a new pair of glasses but also look into contacts. they are only a bitch to put in the first 5 times or so and then become second nature.

I tried switching from my dork glasses to contacts and failed miserably. The dorkiness from the glasses has left you dorked for life unfortunately :(
Matt
you should get whatever a random internet message board community recommends.
