ok I have been hearing all of you talk about phones and gluegun giving advice about what to buy.
I had my eyes set on the MDR v700 because of the way they look and feel on my head and my friends have them and I like the way they sound. I was looking at the MDR v6 pair but to get them from the US to Canada would cost 55 USD plus like 20-30 US shipping and on top of that all the bull duty costs and taxes blah blah......I asked my buddy who bought a pair in Nov 2001 if he wants to sell his as a joke and he said yes!!! I was surprised !
He said he is going to Cuba and needs the cash flow and once he gets back and gets more cash he would buy a new pair. I completely trust this guy as he is my good friend so I jumped at the opportunity and grabbed them with box warranty and all for 140 Canadian......In conclusion I am very happy......especially since he paid 230 canadian for them ...
Thanks to all who helped me learn about headphones and sorry to those who are dissapointed with my decission
of getting the MDR v 700 pair |

you feel sorry for the others?? I think you made a great choice, i also have the v700, use them for a half year now, and they do kick ass. Now i don't give that much about other opinions, and i especially neglect the opinions about the bass sounds. If you read the package, it says DJ REMIX USE, so you can guess they made it therefore :p

| nice choice dude, i also bought my pair about 6 months ago... still no problems, i agree they are kick ass and if i had to look for headphones again, i would probably buy another pair of them... Look & Feel kick ass... i admit the Syneheisser's sound better, but they cost like $100 more too, so yeah.... Sony is very nice alternative.. im happy anyways..:D |

Hmmm....
V700's for $88 USD... eh, well, you made an informed decision based on availability and pricing. As long as you were an informed consumer, and chose what was important to you, there's nothing I can do. I can't MAKE you buy the V6's or HD25's... |

ROTFL!!! :D :D :D I used to have those V700DJs... I will say that they're not for me. Sure, they may suffice for the working DJ, which I'm really not; I listen to music through headphones, but most working DJs merely cue up the next track or beatmatch through headphones. |

| Yea, I wouldn't quite say they "Rock". A set of Grado SR-80's "Rock". But V700's? |
