I-CON Anime Convention @ Stony Brook University [March 24th-26th, 2006]

I know most of you are @ WMC (woooo.. yea :(), but for those who aren't, you should check out this convention if your in Long Island. I went there three years ago and they have everything you could want. I got a couple of boxsets to anime series I didnt finish when I bought each DVD individually. There are also special guests. One of the reasons I'm going is Kevin Sorbo. HERCULES! :p
Should check out this place. Although the general admission might be a bit high, think of it this way: PvD is playing and you gotta pay at the door. But it *wont* be $65 :whip:

I beleive they are currently up to episode 176 I have only seen up to 174 still working on getting the last 2, but we have all of them starting from 1 :P. I can verify these #'s when I get home and check my network I am at work now so my #'s may be a bit off. If u need to catch up on episodes DC is the place to go for it. Go to Otaku Flavor, Anime Nation, [TAN], etc those are pretty good hubs. If u want him me up in pm I can send you the IP addresses and link.
Oh yea what were we talking about, thats right....the anime convention, I may go it all depends on the hubby and if he is interested. |

nice, i usually downloaded my episodes off bittorrent from some fansite...i think i stopped watching right around when the guys go huntin for that really rare insect that has incredible powers of scent...i stopped cause i read up on a forum that they werent gonna make new episodes following the manga storyline for a while...gonna have to grab a few episodes and see what ive been missin...
cept my hard drive is packed full with livesets....ah crap...anime or livesets? :nervous: |

| I use animesuki for my anime needs, or I have grandmaster Yan refer me. I have never been to a anime convention but i have been to a few comic book conventions... |

| I stopped watching Naruto at episode 60 something. My brothers continued to watch it and apparently it got better. Wish I had the time to catch up! |

Yea they got alot of things. From books to soundtracks and wallscrolls. Huge place. Its just something you needed to save up money for about a month or so in advance. Apparantly a anime/comicbook place near me were selling membership tix. If I knew back in like Feb. I woulda had one now.
In any case, my brother and I will go down there on Sunday. Hopefully Mr. Sorbo can sign my Hercules DVD Boxsets.
Yan? I know your a student there. You going by any chance? Hopefully my ID from Old Westbury would consider me as a student in general and not a Stony Brook one. Then I can get a reduced admission price. |

Your not missing much they are still filler episodes and tons of flashbacks....they havent returned to the main story line (from tha manga) as of yet, I estimate they will once the show gets into the 200's. |

Are you joking about Sorbo? I always thought he was the biggest douchebag. Specially that abolishment of scifi that is andromeda OMG i hate that show with a passion, honestly i dont even know why it just hurts me to watch it... And i watch some bad scifi, sundays scifi channel anyone? |
