Because there are many maga fans here, there are likely to be a few people pissed off by my comments/questions below.
The music
---------
The music is always pathetic. Without being racist, do they have a bad taste in music?
it's always some whiny bitch singing out of key in the end credits.
The Voices
----------
I dont know if the voices are that bad before they are dubbed but they sure do suck.
They're all the same

One thing I find really REALLY bizarre is that, in most countries all cartoons look different i.e. that characters look different in different cartoons.
Now please tell me what the f**k is up with this... with mangas,
they all look the same!!!!! It doesn't matter who it is by, it looks the same as the rest of them! why!? are there rules against making the characters look different to other mangas... do they have to animate in this style?
And what is with the mouth movements? Do they do this so that it can be dubbed into any language?
I haven't seen alot of manga but why is it that in so many of them, the characters either have stupid voices or they say stuff that makes u wanna laugh.
The way they react to things is hilarious as well. One character will be halfway through a sentence then before they finish the other will suddenly make a surprised sound and start talking really loud but in a bizarre manner.
I saw a samurai manga the other night that had a turntable sound on every scene change. That particular attribute was more than amusing. then there was this flying fox that landed on some guys face. A girl said "Thanks for the help" and then the flying fox made a squeaking noise as if to acknowledge her. :stongue:
90 perecent of manga is built on all of these characteristics.
I suppose there is no point in asking if there is a normal manga out there.
I have seen "Ninja Scroll", "Blood: The Last Vampire" and some other one that my brother had. |

Anyways, I will be blunt. Anime is NOT POPULAR in Japan outside of nerds. It is NOT MAINSTREAM.

| Ghost in the Shell, both the first one and innocence were great - the voices weren't annoying, the soundtrack wasactually quite good (apart from the ending credits which seem to ALWAYS be corny in anime), and the film itself actually made me think... which is impressive for any animated film. |

the drawing style is very unique and intresting. The dubs always suck compared to the originals
