word. if i cant get a replacement from apple, i'm getting the ipod video. that screen is so clear. i watched the chef episode of south park on my friends pod and it looked so good that it made me want one really bad. i reallllly wanna fix my pod though and i wonder if it being ed up is related to my powerbook losing my itunes??? |

i had the same problem ones, i plugged in my mini ipod to update some mp3s, i unplugged it took it out on my bicycle on the way to work and turned on my ipod, all the music was gone... dunno how it happend. i didnt formatted it or anything just added some more tracks, weird. however i uninstalled itunes and formatted my mini. installed the latest itunes, and updated everytime from then and i havent had a problem since. i dunno but maybe there are itunes virusses out there that up the ipod. what is the exact problem with you ipod? |

| i think I read on CNN Tech that the 60gb ipods are going out and being replaced with a 40gb ipod video with the entire front side becoming a screen/jogwheel with the full capabilities of widescreen video. (i'm guessing you turn it sideways) |

i think i have the sollution for this,
press and hold the round button and play button together fro like 10 seconds, this should reset your ipod without deleting your songs.
you should now be able to turn it on again. |

well i had the same prob with mine
but all u gotta do its no matter what
dont let the battery finish
and dont push the buttons 2 fast
since its a software its a really delicate thing
maybe urs got broken already
i stopped doing that before it was too late
if thats not the answer u want then never mind
just trying to help

| Try to restore the factory settings, I had to do that to mine recently since I refuse to buy another mp3 player. Youll have to put all your songs back on there but at least it will work. |

iPods are . Anyone who buys them deserves to get ed. iPod should be a standard issue to all people who are trend whores and have no brain of their own. It should come bundled with AOL and "ipod for dummies" book.
I hate iPod and my flame suit is firmly on. My IRiver IHP140 is blasting " iPod" choon on repeat.

I keed... to each his own - go line steve job's pockets. but if you want something more practical and useful, get IRiver. FM tuner, built in recorder, built-in optical input, remote, can be used as HD, and does not require proprietary software (that s up your MP3s)... oh, and did I mention that you can actually transfer files back and forth your computer and mp3 player without any extra software - same as you would copy from one HD to another? no? oh, anyway - go buy your pod and come back and cry to me later. I'll just respond "TOLD YOU SO!" |
