I spoke to an ear doctor last week and he says that you should never use q-tips. They can irritate and do severe damage to your ears, and it is possible to permanantly damage your hearing.
What you are supposed to do is go into a doctor once a year or so to have your ears cleaned. |

yea even on the qtip packs it says not to use in ears...
however, thats what 95% of the population (including myself) use them for...
what??we gonna pick our noses with a frickin qtip?lol |

A bad ear infection CAN permanently impair your hearing. But my ex-housemate had one, and his gradually came back to full strength.
Don't hesitate to get a second opinion. You only get so much time to act if there's serious damage. |
