Love Parade 2006?

| Will it be held in SF again? Sorry if this issue has been discussed already but I couldnt find anything on it via the search button. |

| They announced it in April last year, so I assume it'll be within the next month. They already had a couple of fundraiser parties, and their site went down recently (I assume for a re-design), so it's definitely happening. |

| I believe their changing the name too. Love Parade is back in Berlin this year (yay!) so the Love Parade SF is going to become the Summer Music Conference. That's just what I heard... |

News to me...
Don't count on it changing from anything. Love Parade SF was in the works long before LP Berlin had issues and has always had the support from the people behing the original Love Parade.
In fact, I believe there was some Love Parade SF promotion going on around WMC last week...
There are other Love Parades around the world, too...many of which occured during the same years LP Berlin happened.
LP Berlin is simply "Love Parade," while all the other LPs are "Love Parade Cityname" |

True, that's why I thought it was weird. Don't know where my girlfriend heard that but she seems pretty sure :conf:
Would be kinda neat to have a Summer Music Conference though :p |

Neat, yes, but not nearly enough clubs/venues to support a massive week here. :) |

actually i think it'd be sick if they had a crazy party on alcatraz or treasure island, or ferryboat parties around the bay. something that makes our love parade a bit more unique |

Have you been to the beaches around here? The sand .. is dirt. The water is freezing cold. The waves sucks. It's always windy. The water is dirty.
Nothing like the beautiful beaches in Florida...or the Bahamas for that matter. :p |

ocean beach is cold and plain and dark-sanded, not to mention on the ass end of town, but baker beach is pretty nice, and a lot closer to town...

and ps: northern california has BEAUTIFUL beaches...
it just rarely ever reaches the 90-100 degree 'jump-in-the-ocean' temperature up here :D
some resorts in hawaii actually import white sand from the monterey submarine canyon fyi. |
