Had they actually written Stella at the time? Perhaps the name was just something significant to J&S (they aren't known for their straight-faced titles, after all).
And sections of the track without a beat (or at least a kick-drum) exist in pretty much all dance music, simply because we need a rest now and then. I wouldn't call them breakdowns. |

Yes it does.
...unless you have a different definition of a breakdown. I'm under the impression it was a section of a dance song where the rhythmic attributes are taken out for a period of time to feature the melodic elements on their own. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, though.
J': It was an actual plug for the upcoming single Stella. |

You talk baws. When the energy in a set is at its highest nothing and I MEAN nothing brings the crowd up to another level like a huge euphoric track with a sweeping break. When a DJ if good enough they are able to drop the energy back into his/her set and the result of the huge tune will lift lifted the crowd up to go even harder. Believe me years of clubbing have taught me this! |
That may be true nowadays back then trance productions wasn't known for its high euphoric breakdowns didnt need such breakdowns it flowed ..
I've been listenin to it for years ..that being Goa trance |

It does have a breakdown. Not a very long one, but a breakdown nevertheless. |
